Once you buy stainless steel you can't go back to Aluminium.

If this was available in Silver SS I would have bought.

I'd pay that for a series 8 SS. Stainless is so much nicer than aluminum

Agree except I am not sure it makes sense to go back two gens.

Depends on the gens. E.g 7 and 8 are very similiar. Don't know anything about 9.

After seeing that series 8 and 9 added little from a tech standpoint. I'm cool with 7. But like you said. Battery will be an issue. And it's $100 for a battery.

9 was a bigger jump than 7 to 8. But not huge. 30% faster cpu, double the storage and the new pinch control.
