Regardless if you decide to buy this particular unit or not, one KEY specification you should locate prior to purchase with any home "A/V type" Receiver:

Bolded effect added by me for emphasis -

Power output (All channels):

200 W/Ch (6 ohms, 1 kHz, 10% THD,1-ch driven)

90 W/Ch (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.08% THD,
2-ch driven, FTC)

Hope this information is insightful / helpful.

God damnit. I got burned hard by a bad HDMI board from Onkyo years ago. It was a giant recall that the old heads in here will remember. But for this price I'm thinking of rolling the dice again. SMH I'll never learn.

Slim to none.

This is the cheapest I've ever seen this receiver.

I got a busted one from a customer of mine and did the recall once they extended it. Got a $1800 receiver for 350 from them. That things been a beast!

Can't purchase it. Contacted Adorama and they can't process my payment since "Pricing mistake". Showed them the affiliate link and still couldn't resolve it.

I bought and it's pretty good but I'm considering returning it because there is not a pre out. I thought Zone B could be used that way but it does not respond to volume control and I could only get sound out of it with the mobile app (remote and receiver would not route sources to zone B). I plan to mainly use the receiver with passive speakers but I have several active ones too, and I'd ideally like the option to use those.

Why would you buy an avr without pre outs when you specifically wanted pre outs? You can read user manuals online to see what an avt is capable of before spending time and money actually buying it.

Shows canceled by Merchant. Tried clearing cookies and multiple devices. Contacted my bank and they said Adorama is canceling the sell.

I misunderstood what Zone B is able to do. And posted here in case anyone else has the same confusion.

Have you searched through the menu's and read the manual? Some avr's toggle fixed & variable audio out the zone 2 jacks.

So for 7 channel driven (as per 7.1 set up) while playing movies etc, what is the power output per channel?

It really depends on several factors, some of the primaries for me are: 1) how efficient are the speakers it will be driving and 2) how big of a room will it be trying to fill with sound. In a small to medium sized room with 90dB or higher speakers this unit would probably do fairly well, other than that, I certainly would be looking for more power for "all channels driven".
what did you meant by 90db or higher speakers?

You have to ask yourself, what are you going to do with pre-outs? Are you going to connect an external amp to drive certain speakers separately? Do your front speakers benefit from being driven by external amp? As someone mentioned earlier, most home theater speakers are quite efficient and do not benefit by being driven via external amp.

Speakers have a sensitivity rating. Should be posted in the specs on the back of the speaker. A 90db speaker will play much louder at the same volume dial on your receiver than a 85db speaker.

Basically, the higher the db rating the easier they are to power. Many Klipsch speakers have sensitivity ratings at 95db or higher.

Doesn't mean the speaker is better sounding, just means it takes less power/wattage to get to a certain volume level.

I've been looking for a receiver. This one seems to tick a lot of boxes for me, but I'm having trouble justifying it when black Friday is a week away
