Stop spreading misinformation. GaN is about heat management and size, not about basic functionality like charging multiple devices at the same time.

I also don't understand the purpose for travel purposes... why can't you just connect your iPhone or laptop with the charger to a wall outlet compared to this? Not all places have wall USB outlets, so you need to bring USB chargers with you like when you are traveling. Even if there are multiple standard wall outlets, it's easier to have one charger that you can plug multiple things into instead of having one charger for your laptop, one for your cell phone, and another one for accessories (headphones, smart watch, etc.). If that's not a problem for you, then this isn't worth getting. I personally don't want to carry 3 charging adapters in my backpack.

Another reason for me is the fact that usb hubs can be hacked. (all kinds of stories out there why not to use the usb outlets in airports)
I'm not going to take the wall receptacles apart simply to see if they are compromised.

Looks like the deal is back. I ordered one for pick up last week since shipping wasn't free for me but my order was never made available for pickup. So I checked again and I was able to order one for shipping right now and cancelled my pickup order.
