Best to flash BIOS on first boot with USB file tagged in the BIOS in any system with a new MOBO. MS is having a rash of issues with this. The BIOS update is producing a new hardware flag.
This issue goes back before 2012 on many MOBOs and MS will not fix it.

Beat me to it! Says life time and we all know it will be obsolete in 5 years max, but can we use it the three times on motherhood/processor changes? If so then it might be worth it to get a legit key from a genuine MS partner.

What do you mean? You mean if you flash bios the ms key will still work? I bought a key from another site. I changed mb and then ms key didn't work anymore.

If you make significant hardware changes on your P.C. build, such as replacing your motherboard, Windows will no longer find a license that matches your device, and you'll need to reactivate Windows to get it up and running. To activate Windows, you'll need either a digital license or a product key.
So if you log in to you hotmail or microsoft email account as a user it records the activation key for that specific motherboard you activated Windows on.
