From previous years, you can buy Mint mobile plans from any retailer (ie - BestBuy). You didn't need to buy specially marked packages or from specific retailers. She told me to check the website on Nov 19th and then make use of the offer. Also, I think the offer may require bringing a number, although she didn't confirm that but that's what she told when I initially called to check why the free additional 3 months is not added after activation.
So, in the end I wasted about and hour for nothing but just trying out this non-deal posted on front page on slickdeal.
