She told me to check the website on Nov 19th and then make use of the offer. Also, I think the offer may require bringing a number, although she didn't confirm that but that's what she told when I initially called to check why the free additional 3 months is not added after activation.
So, in the end I wasted about and hour for nothing but just trying out this non-deal posted on front page on slickdeal.

I think he found it by mistake. I did bring up this link while I was talking to the customer service rep and that's when they mentioned they don't see it on their side and only thing she could find out that this offer only starts from 11/19.
