Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

For those people whose ATT orders are getting canceled due to suspicious activity. I had the same issue. I think it might have to with billing address mismatch with the credit card/zip code being used to pay the order through walmart.

Recommend using a privacy card and using the same billing zip code as the one on the ATT account. This should do the trick

How is Costco worse than Walmart, they are both the same. Costco gives you $250 credit ($6.95/mo for 36 months), If you cancel wireless, credits will stop and will owe the device balance. While Walmart gives you $300 Gift card, in the end both of them still 3rd parties that sell phones for the carrier. The trade-in for $1000 credit is offered by the carrier so they can bind you to a 36-month contract while selling an unlimited plan that is $75/month. if you don't do a trade-in you can cancel anytime and just pay the remaining balance since you still own the phone on finance for 36 months.

regardless, I am stuck since Verizon won't send me a code saying max 3 per day... and Walmart didn't allow me to add more than 1 to the cart...
wasted 2hr talking to Verizon to reset that 3 counter and as usual they are idiots and didn't know what I was talking about..

For existing lines, Walmart seems like a better deal. I'm only getting a $100 Costco GC and $50 bill credits as opposed to a $300+ Walmart GC.

Follow the link to ATT from here to activate the Costco GC and bill credits. Works for new and existing lines.

Of the people who are just looking to buy the phone at a decent price without the service:

1) are you ordering VZ phones online today shipped to your home?
2) cancelling within 3 days from today or from ship date? (whether or not you receive/activate the phone yet and/or have paid it off yet?)
3) paying off the phone on the final bill online? (Or hoping you get it within 3 days of ordering or shipping, and then paying off in store? Or paying off in store with just the phone number and account info - even without the phone?)

Yeah, the phone number to contact also defaults to your new number which is stupid because how can they contact you on a phone number that you don't have yet

Anyone port yet? I am thinking of trying to get activation fee waived prior to canceling using AARP but I think it may require a port in which I did not see option for

Same Walmart account. New ATT account. I did the IPhone 13 deal with Verizon. Just one each. Don't want to invest too much in these phones as getting the gift card has some risk if cancelling account
Any suggestions on how to retrieve the phone number and account number? I haven't received any email communication from Verizon. Only an order confirmation from Walmart which doesn't include the account details. Thank you !

I had a lengthy call with a Verizon promotions department representative, who tied in a Walmart customer service representative for a three-way call. Verizon rep said that the trade-in has to be processed at the same time as the phone purchase to tie the two together. Walmart representative looked around for 20 minutes and could not figure out how to get that done. That was enough for me to call off this deal at this point. I'm sure there's probably a way to ram this deal through but too much risk given the high amount of credit that could potentially be lost.
