- Pay off installment plan from MyAtt app or at att.com. You can do this as soon as activated/device ships.
- Turn on iPhone and let it activate with the pushed AT&T eSim (should be automatic once connected to wifi). Make a phone call.

Edit: AT&T chat is closed on the weekend I called reseller support and they refused to cancel the line and said I had to wait 30 days. I had to port out to another carrier.- Call *PORT on the new iPhone to get a porting pin. You also need your wireless account number (displayed when you login to att.com).

- We haven't found a way to unlock the iPhone 14/15 like we did the 13 because it has an eSIM assigned that gets activated on boot, and no physical SIM card. Also the phones are showing Verizon locked and not flex reseller policy. It will automatically unlock 60 days post activation however.

According to the promotion, it only applies to Verizon & ATT purchases. Within the last few minutes someone reported that you could get the GC if you have Tmo. Someone else needs to verfiy.
But, people are:
- Opening new lines of service with Verizon
- To get the promotional GC
- Closing the Verizon account within 3 days to avoid most charges, including activation fees
- Waiting 60 days to use on another network (MVNO, Tmo, etc)
Now... if above OP is correct and you can get a GC on Tmo WITHOUT A PLAN CHANGE, then it is pretty hot for us on older Tmo plans like Simple Choice, One, etc since Tmo has given us the bird on trade-in promotions.
Unfortunately, I don't put much stock in it since that poster is using one of the newer Go5G plans, which is Tmo's premium plan.

Btw, anyone can get AARP membership regardless of age , and there was a credit card offer for that too (posted Slickdeal) . Also gives you 10% discount at Outback. Though if you look under 45 it might seem strange asking for it.
