Requires AT&T service and phone payment plan. You may want to include that in your title.

Anyone knows this answer ?
It's been suggested that there is no way around the 60-day Verizon lock on any VZ iPhone 14 purchased on this deal, since the phone is already activated with Verizon before you get it, that starts the 60 day lock with Verizon.

Just to share a data point - I couldn't pay off the device using the bot (Verizon - have to wait until 12/22 to pay off). But was able to cancel the service via the chat and just needed to wait for the bill to pay off.

hey guys , i chatted with verizon rep last night for cancelling line and to waive off activation fee, ( paid off device already via bot the previous day) .. and the rep told me he could not waive the activation fee . i told about the 3 day policy , but still he said that is only for phones bought on verizon and not byod and said mine is byod .. may be mine is showing as byod as i paid it off ? .. i asked her what would be the final bill and he said said he woudnt know until he processes the deactivation and asked if we can go ahead and cancel .. i holded the cancellation and said ill get back ..
should i just go ahead and cancel ? or should i try my luck with another rep ( today being my 3rd day , bought the phone is store on friday evening ).. .. is it ok to say mine is nt byod and bought at walmart on verizon service and i paid off the device ? ..

TIA !!
be careful about Verizon BYOD device. Verizon does not unlock BYOD device even though the device is locked to Verizon. I had a whole month of battle this month with Verizon with 30+ calls to Verizon about unlocking my iPhone 13 mini bought from Walmart in May 2023. However Verizon can unlock the device if Verizon has the contract of the installment plan. Make sure Verizon has the record.

ok , the rep was fine to cancel the line ,, all this came up when i was insisting on waiving off the activation fee . he initially said activation fee can never be waived for anyone per policy and agreements , i then said " i see on the policy that i got that the activation fee will we waived if the line is cancelled within 3 days " after that he said " that doesnt apply for a byod device , yours was not bought on verizon and is a byod right? " .. i wasnt sure what to answer , so i said ill need time think bout cancellation n shall get back ..

Could someone help clarify, if I buy iPhone 15 pro from WM choosing upgrade my existing ATT phone, how can I get both $300 WM e-gift card and the $1000 bill credit? When I'm on WM web, it didn't mention anything for $1000 credit

My parents are on the old legacy ATT plan with 2 lines. Is it possible to open new line on their account to get a phone, pay it off, and then cancel line without their plan changing at Walmart store or even online?

It's been 24 hours since I did the deal, but the first bill hasn't yet generated...I went ahead and canceled the Verizon plan because I didn't want to worry about when then 3rd day technically starts, lol. Assuming it's due to the weekend/ Sunday but who really knows.

Maybe you need to move the Verizon eSIM back to the new iPhone? Then call (or chat) and cancel. If eSIM is on a different device it would show BYOD.

Which phone(s) are you trying to buy? Check the Community Wiki (at the top) if you are looking at iPhone 14/15 on AT&T. Less info for Verizon, just know it has a 60 day unlock policy. If you pay off & cancel within 3 days you only pay prorated service (ask for activation fee to be waved, it's their policy to refund within 3 days).

The esim is still on the original new iPhone .. I'm planning chat again for cancellation, but is it ok to tell them that I bought this on Verizon service at Walmart 2 days and paid off the device at Verizon online ?? In case if this question comes up again

Thanks

I'm looking to get an iPhone 14 pro. I'm currently an At&t prepaid customer. I don't have any trade-in phone and just want to get a new phone at the lowest cost possible. Will this still work for me?
