No idea on "normal price", but people generally consider 1$ or less per lb to be a decent deal. I got the colored version of these about a year ago from walmart and they came in perfect condition. No defects on any of them. Been using them every day with no issues. Granted, I am not throwing them around and dropping them besides lightly on deadlifts but they are holding up perfect.
This is the design you want btw, with the rounded hubs. There is another similar set sold by walmart sometimes under the exact same name with flush steel hubs that is way worse quality.

Just received my 260lbs set the quality on these weights are nice but they are hard to pick up if they a lying down flat because they are thick and have no grooves to grip . Even the lower weights are large and bulky. Still the quality is nice and at $199 it's a solid deal

Normally after shipping you'd pay close to $2 per pound on bumper plates.

Bought the 260lb set and Walmart continues to have inventory management issues. So far (maybe more to come?) they have shipped the full set PLUS an extra pair of 45s, 25s, and 10s. So, I'm only missing 35s and 15s to make a full second set!?! A similar thing happened when I purchased the HOPRO 160lb set a few months ago and extras kept on being delivered. I think the separate shipping boxes causes the errors but still odd that they are sending out so many extras. That's 160lb in extra plates in this order alone and I won't be surprised if there are more. So, if you are on the fence about 260 vs 370 then get the 260, you may also end up with more plates!

Anyone know where the best deal to be had on a traditional barbell iron set? The basic ones you'd see in a gym? Thanks for any info, trying to piece my garage gym together.

Costco has a nice rubber coated (non bumper) iron plates by inspire with a decent bar. Fire on sale for 350 (after Costco gift card) when I got them.
