I have not seen specific references in XM's website / terms - but was told verbally by CS that there needs to be at least 30 days outside for it to be considered "new port in".
It was $400 with no trade in and $700 total if you traded in an iphone 11.

Using older phone as example.
Assume you have today an iPhone 12 with number 1. You WANT to get an iPhone 15 and use number 1 with that. Unfortunately XM doesn't allow "upgrade" with the discount.
So you get number 2 from one of the sources. Port it in as a "new number" and get the iPhone 15 working on number 2.
Then go into an Xfinity store and ask them to swap the phones i.e. put the number 1 in the iPhone 15 and the number 2 in the older iPhone 12.
Wait till you get the bill and see the bill credits assigned to the iPhone 15 on number 1.
At that time - you can cancel the number 2.
You are never cancelling your old line (because you want to keep the number). You are willing to cancel the NEW line (because it's a new temporary number); but you want to transfer the bill credits to the OLD line through the sim swap.
I really want to upgrade to iPhone 15 Pro, but last year's iPhone 14 Pro still has a 10-month contract, and I have credits every month during the contract period.
My question is:
1. If I add 3 more lines for iPhone 15 Pro to my current account (1G shared data plan, which already has 3 lines), how much more will I get to pay for every month?
2. The current three lines are numbers commonly used by me and my family. If I get the iPhone 15 Pro, can I take it to the store and ask for swap between iPhone 14 pro (not paid off yet) and iPhone 15 Pro?
