I've been following this thread because I'm in the same boat as a couple of people on here. I have the plus subscription from last year for Netflix and mine's going to run out on the 14th I've already canceled it I dug around on the site in the terms and here's the fine print I came up with and it doesn't mention anything about getting rid of your current phone plan and having to upgrade to a new one you just have to be a current Verizon Mobile customer and to make sure that your old plan is canceled or has ran out without being renewed. Here it is:

If you have an existing Netflix account that was not purchased on +play, you can link it to this offer as described in Netflix service terms below. If you are currently enrolled in Netflix through +play, you will need to cancel your current subscription and reach the end of the billing cycle in order to subscribe to the Bundle Subscription. If you are currently enrolled in either the "Buy one, get one free" or "12 months Netflix on us" Netflix promotions offered through +play, you will not be eligible for this Bundle Subscription until your current Netflix promotion expires.

Offer ends on December 28 according to the terms. Good news for those of us who have a little time left on our current subscription.

Once you activate Netflix, it stays active until the end of the year Sub, whether you have Verizon or not. I did this deal last year and switched to FirstNet months ago. Still have Netflix until next month. just make sure you turn off auto renewal.

The subscription auto renews at a higher than standard rate. I couldn't find the T&Cs re: Paramount+ with Showtime, but Netflix Premium renews at $22.99/mo. I currently have a Netflix Premium membership directly through Netflix and only pay $19.99/mo.

This might somehow give Verizon viewing data for advertising purposes, but I bet that they're just hoping most people forget to cancel after the promotional period. Inertia is a powerful thing.
The new normal rate is 22.99 for premium next month.

This is timely and a great deal. Thanks OP!

Will I become eligible when last years Netflix deal runs out in December?

I see I do have Paramount+ Showtime for $120, but not with Netflix included...

In case this matters, with this deal you can NOT add an out of household member to your plan, since they stopped account sharing. I had this deal from last year, and when they stopped the sharing, i went to add my son that lived in a different state and could not. It is hard to find, but buried in the terms it said netflix paid through "third party" services are not eligible for the $7.99 user add. Just in case this matters to you. Otherwise it is a great deal.

How does this work if you have a current subscription to paramount+ that hasn't expired yet? I had the paramount+ 50% off deal from last year that will expire on 11/30. It's still active until the end of the month but has been cancelled in the paramount account. I was waiting to see if another 50% off deal happened, but I'd take this Netflix + paramount deal instead if it works. I can't tell from the Verizon language if it will work or not. I thought about just waiting until 12/1 to try the deal but I don't see any kind of promo date within the Verizon app to confirm it'll still be live at that point.

Edit: I just found this in the FAQ:

If you already have an active annual subscription or a subscription outside of +play, you can get this offer. However, you won't be able to activate the annual subscription until you cancel the original annual subscription and wait until the end of that billing cycle.

So it looks like I can buy now but have to wait until 12/1 to activate the new subscription. Anyone test that yet?

I'm currently on the 1 year Netflix thing from Verizon from last year. It expires December 14.

I click the link and it says I'm not eligible for this offer.

I'm assuming I have to wait until my current offer is expired before I can sign up for this one?

I signed up with Verizon last month. Would it make sense to sign up for the plus play monthly credit prior to adding the paramount plus w/neflix annual subscription? Not sure how those monthly credits work in conjunction with an annual subscription.

Darn it. Purchased Paramout+ and Netflix Premium bundle so that I can cancel my current Netflix and upgrade to premium Netflix. Only to find out that I already have Paramount+ from my Walmart+ subscription. Now it does not let me activate it and seems that Netflix can only be activated after Paramount+ is activated?

Can you sign up to Paramount+ with a different email and activate it that way? This is what I was planning on doing as I also have the Paramount+/Walmart+ on my wife's email - I was planning on using my email address for the premium Paramount+, I have to wait until the 4th when I current netflix stuff verizon expires to try.

Same. Saw earlier in the thread that they were still getting it set up , and it might be a couple more days. That was a couple of days ago lol. Is anyone seeing this live?

Also, will this automatically extend the year offer already on the account (mine expires Dec 16), or do I have to cancel that and set up a new account? Also, can I do this early? I think they will bill me on the 16th, so I'd like to get that changed.

I suppose we could. Only problem is that I have so many subscriptions floating here and there. It's so easy to forget about one or two of them and then they just got away with free money.

Since you pay in full at the beginning, do you keep these subscriptions if you change mobile providers?

I think I found the answer in the play+ terms annd conditions part 3.4

"If You choose to discontinue your Verizon Wireless services after purchasing +play Products, you may continue to access +play using your existing credentials. By continuing to use the +play site and +play Products, you agree that you continue to be bound by the terms herein. You also agree that for any monthly recurring charges related to the +play Products to which you subscribe, Verizon may continue to charge you using the payment method you selected when you signed up"

It is a real thing as Verizon themselves have promoted it:

It seems like they just didn't set it up correctly yet. I'd guess it'll be working in another day or two.
From this press article, it says you would have to use the myPlan mobile plans. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if you already have the older 5G Play More plan, I assume the downside would be that you have to switch and lose Disney+, Hulu for around the same price, then get this deal at the $45/mo price point?

In the account, I only see the $10/mo +play credit since mine won't expire till Dec like a lot of folks who got the NFL+ deal.
