Looks like it's discontinued so this is a sale to move old stock.
But yep got one too. Replacing my 52C
I agree these prices aren't good. I already have a pair of 8000f and 504c. It would be nice to pick-up a 502s and 500sa for the theater room I'm building but not at these increased old stock prices.
I'm going to message them and see if there is better pricing. I've bought from them in the past.

Does anyone know how the Monoprice T6's compare to these?
Having experience with both I would point out IMO the T6's required more power for optimal performance compared to Klipsch and didn't perform as well at lower levels.

FYI the 502s are not ideal for object based soundtracks imo.

What is suggested then for sides? I currently only have the front channels (8000f and 504c) powered by x3800. The room is 15' x 20' and with 2 rows of 3 chairs it leaves a isle of 3'2" on each side which is plenty but a side speaker will cut into that space. The 502s is only 7.5" thick vs >10" for 500m.
I thought the dual tweeter/horn would provide side sound for both rows. Ideally each row would have their own speaker but this project budget is already blown. I'm not doing in-walls to reduce sound pollution to the other rooms of the house. Steps are being taken to limit wall penetrations and additional insulation & fiberboard etc.

Assuming you are mounting surrounds high enough & angled so all seating positions are not blocked, you can do the same with the surrounds.
This is a main challenge with side surrounds in an average home, most do not have the room for proper placement especially with object based designs.
I will assume in wall includes in ceiling as an exclusions?
If not a better option imo would be 3 pair of properly placement object based speakers.
The 502s made sense with speaker based surround, With object based they are kinda counteracting what the codec is trying to do.
Keep in mind this is just my opinion from experience, you will find others say it works for them.
Sound is completely subjective, the only one that truly matters is yours.

Plan to mount 500sa on wall at the ceiling right above the 502s. Leaves 7 penetrations in the ceiling (6 wafer lights and 1 for projector) so I'm building boxes for each of them to contain sound.
I thought the whole point of these expensive processors is they customize the sound based on your room. I do get a dipole speaker is probable difficult for it.

So the 502s as side surrounds and the 500s right above those on the same wall?
That's not a good idea for object based placements imo.
If you mean object based codec processing.
Basically it's designed to create an immersive surround by moving the sound around your environment based on quality of speakers & placement.
Imo contrary to common belief every speaker matters for optimal performance.

See attachment. The design puts the atmos right above the sides. But concerning the dipole sides, it doesn't have an option for that. I'm not sure why Klipsch makes the speaker. It's perfect for someone who wants one speaker for 2 rows. But I get it, it doesn't fit the specs. I might just skip the sides and run rears only.

My best guess is they are thinking more an Auro setup, position makes sense.
Klipsch description for on wall use for the 502s states:
"The Klipsch RP-502S II Surround Speakers can also be utilized as an on-wall elevation or surround speaker via its easy-to-use keyhole mounting system - delivering the perfect angle for enhanced sound effects".
Another suggestion I would strongly recommend.
See if there are local custom installers that you can hire them for like 1 hour consultation.
Imo very well worth the cost.

Purchased the rp-8000f and rp-504c from these links and Amazon rather than adorama
