i bought this from metro for less than $100.which includes 1 month of service.
then i will use as wi fi device for next 5 months.
i will make $0 payments to metro during those 5 monhs
total cost is $100
i will wait 6 months for it to unlock
i will use on tmoble once it unlocks
total cost is $100

"Once a device becomes eligible for unlocking (eligibility requirements are described below), Metro by T-Mobile will automatically and remotely unlock the device within two business days if the device supports remote unlock."
Unlock eligibility requirements
"We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:
The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
One hundred eighty (180) days must have passed since the device's activation date."
{180 days since activation. no mention of payment requirement during those 180 days}
Countless number of people have reported.
Both iphone + Android have auto unlocked ~180 days from purchase.
Even when paying for ONLY 1 month of service.
i dont have as many as 50...but defiantly 20+..over last 5-8 years.
never a issue with unlock using method i described above

I spent the last two weeks trying to get one and I gave up. So long Metro.
Its perfect for my needs. I switched/downgraded from iphone 14 plus.
I'm not a huge picture person but the photos are adequate. I only take pics of documents and stuff I sell online and it gets the job done.
Its a very snappy, fast phone, just as fast or even faster than my iphone (s23fe has a 120hz screen). Battery life (on power saver) is good. I'm not a power user, but I get 3 days (just like the Iphone 14 plus) before I need to charge.
Still getting used to android again. iOS made things a lot more simple to do and more intuitive. But android has everything you need as well.
Fingerprint reader is good even with a screen protector. Face unlock works good but not like FaceID.

that thing will cook the phone and kill battery life... SAMSUNG is just getting rid of overstock
