That's interesting. I was engaged throughout and really enjoyed it. I guess you have to be into the story and if you're not, I could see it being boring.

The prices this holiday season are probably as good as you will see for the physical version for quite some time Id think. I haven't checked what they are going for now but I bought mine digitally through CDKeys for about $30 approximately 6 months back. I wouldn't doubt if they can be bought cheaper now. It's a great game...was worth every penny.
I almost pulled the trigger on CD keys and now it just keeps going up on there.
Is it time to bite? I've been looking forward to playing this, but my backlog is pretty long so I've been holding off for a good price.
I think Sony is going with the "Ubisoft/2K" pricing model where they continuously drop prices as each platform gets closer to full saturation.GoW was $30 the year after launch, then it kept dropping incrementally till it hit $10 on PS4.
They are taking the opposite strategy of Nintendo, dropping prices for 1st party games to entice users onto their platform, then making margins at scale by scraping license fees off 3rd party titles on the platform.
I think Ragnarok will see another price drop right after Xmas, and we will see even more price drops next spring. i.e. if you don't have to play this over Xmas break, then I would say wait.

PS5 games seem to not drop less than $30. Been waiting for Ghost of Tsushima to drop to like $20 or less before grabbing it.
I'm going to wait until the PS5 version is $30... or maybe less. I'm probably picking up Tropical Freeze Switch, Hogwarts Legacy PS5, and Jedi Survivor PS5 for $30 each at Target/Walmart during BF sales, so I'll have enough to play for a while.
Personally I found the Hogwarts gameplay incredibly boring even though I really wanted to like it. I couldn't finish it. They did a great job bringing the locations to life however.
The original GOW games had way better gameplay, so good call.
I'm enjoying Ragnarok, probably more than the original.
I still can't help but feel that the games have way too few actual bosses and the originals had a lot of them?
Puzzle bosses in many cases like Zelda if I recall correctly.
I'd love to see all of them (with the PSP one(s)) released on a singe PS5 disc, all remastered.
Unfortunately felt the same. GoW PS4 was somehow bearable with pacing, but I got bored about an hour into this one.
Pacing on first game was perfect. 2nd game they missed the mark. It takes way too long for the story to have any clear direction or drive as a player. But its incased in a fantastic looking and playing game.
