This TV is great for its size and price but keep in mind it will not have amazing picture quality. The Hisense U8K is a direct competitor to the TCL QM8. The QM8 is 3 product lines above this TCL S5. The 100" U8K at $3k is easily the better deal at $500 more. This TCL does not have local dimming at all.

What do you mean decisions? You ordered 100 inch mini LED which is way better and only paid $500 more. It's also a way better rated TV. There is no decision.

I have a low end TCL with GoogleTV - it drives me mental - totally underpowered.
First thing to do is pick up an Amazon 4K Max stick or an Apple TV.

It's actually not crazy, watch some unboxing videos on Youtube, especially by B the Installer. Box comes straight off, you put the stand pieces on lifting one side each time, make sure it fits on your stand and you're good to go.

I would soend 500 morenand go with the 100 inch hisense, the PQ blows this out of the water
