I've had the video doorbell for a few months and it works great with HomeKit. Might have to pick this up
My young daughter uses the number codes and my wife and I exclusively use the home key with our watches or phones. If you use your phone to lock or unlock (not right at the door but in the home app) it takes a few seconds but if you use your phone or watch to unlock it (right at the door) it's instant

Does it require subscription? I'm looking into the Eufy S330 fingerprint keypad and doorbell combo so want to compare. To my knowledge eufy does not require keypad and is currently $245 on amz

Awesome. I picked up two of these S I wanted to stick to HomeKit ecosystem
Bought two on the last deal of the day for $10 more each. Great locks for HomeKit addicts. I did paint them matte black.
They have more features than the $300 locks. Best feature is they detect the door has closed and then autolock at a set time. Mine is set to 30secs. I like the piece of mine that my bedtime automation verifies doors are locked.

I remember looking into Yale for sure. I was always just waiting for Schlage to go on sale which if did sold out immediately. I don't think I ever saw Yale Homekey on sale either. I also recall seeing low reviews on the Yale. They had a lot of confusing models at the time with or without that wifi chip insert. So when I saw a lot of the HomeKit community give positive reviews on the Aqara at half the price, I decided to go that direction. I've been happy with it. I wish it was faster to unlock from the homekit app (2-3 secs) but it is instant from the aqara app over Bluetooth. I block the aqara hub from the internet even though it's on its own vlan. I just do this as a rule for anything that doesn't need it. I haven't seen anyone show real concern about Aqara as a Chinese brand but I'll look into Xiaomi. I've really enjoyed their cheap sensors compared to Eve's high prices.
