If you wash your car every 2-3 weeks or after a rainstorm (as in soap and hose it down), there is no need to use a clay bar. I know a thing or two about car paints and paint tech. I worked for 3M automotive for 15 years. Companies advertising to sell their waxes/cleaners/sealants has gotten people into believing the extreme measures they use on car paints these days. Clay bar usage every 4-6 months is not only overkill but harmful for the clear coat. Like you said to each their own but what I said about the clay bar is researched opinion.

I bought it for $12.97 in July 2022. I like it, but I don't think raising the price a buck is a great deal.

Got a 3-pack for $32.67 back in May. Easy to use after thoroughly cleaning your car. As for effectiveness of it, I'm not sure - my car has an existing layer of ceramic coating on it. So I like to think of this as an added layer of protection and shine. I don't use it after every wash, maybe once every ~4-6 months because thoroughly cleaning (clay bar, iron decon, etc) is quite a bit of effort. I just applied it a couple weeks ago in preparation for winter) so a single bottle will last for several applications. I also recommend spraying it onto a microfiber cloth first rather than directly into panels so that if there's a breeze, it doesn't carry the spray onto an already treated panel
Decontaminating every 4-6 months with clay bar and other iron decon is a surefire way to kill the paint on your car. I use a clay bar and iron contaminant gel 1.5 - 2 years. Every 4 - 6 months is overkill. My 2008 lexus 350 looks like it rolled out of the showroom floor. I use only costco gas and mobil 1 syn and fram (touchgard now ultra synthetic) and an occasional injector cleaner. Except for 2 sets of new tires and 3 batteries, it has not gone to a mechanic once in those years.

It's neither a surefire way to kill the paint or overkill, especially not clay bar as that's just lifting contaminants off. You really shouldn't be using this wax without decontaminating the panel surfaces first as that'll trap the contaminants. Congrats on your clean Lexus, though! My Supra also looks and runs pristine with no sign of paint damage despite my surefire and overkill ways of destroying the paint. It's really however you choose to maintain your vehicle.

Apologies, next time I'll include a YMMV disclaimer when I offer up historical pricing and personal experience with a product

This stuff is great and better than their streaky Flex Graphene spray wax.

It's longevity is questionable. Still, a good spray wax. Been using for years and very happy with it.

Mobile 1 is garbage now ,good for 3 month use then need to change
Why is *Mobile 1* garbage? I use it for 15000 miles each time. Could go longer but do not want to push the envelope. I am not sure, however, why its garbage. Its been the same formula for a very long time.

I wash the car with this

Turtle Wax 53411 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash and Wax - 48 Fl Oz. https://a.co/d/gZ10xi0

Then follow up with this product. Best combo I've used. I also use soft water from the water softener. Finally leaf blower to dry, the water just beads and runs easily for a quick dry.

Anyone know how this product compares to Chemical Guys Spray on Ceramic coat?
I have only used Chemical Guys and it works well and lasts long
Literally nothing from Chemical Guys is good unless it's things like towels, mitts, brushes, etc.

I have had great results with VO7 and Jetseal.
