i just bought this to change my air filters and some higher shelves. if you plan on using it FOR ANYTHING ELSE this is NOT the ladder for you. It's plastic and does not feel safe.

I saw an all metal version at costco for $5-7 more. get that.
I'd have to disagree with you. I have the same one (from back in the golden age a couple years ago when it was slick for $10) and it feels plenty sturdy.
I'm not going to do plyometrics workouts on it but I've done SEVERAL OTHER THINGS besides stand on it to change a filter.
That being said, it's solid but nothing special. Didn't think it was slick for $25 but decent for $20 if that's the best you can do these days.
This isn't a ladder. It's a step up (no pun intended) from a simple stool. Get it for the people that like to use chairs just because they're convenient. I got one of these for the MIL for Xmas a few years ago because she was one of those chair people. I have something similar to this on each level of my home so there's no excuse for stacking shit to climb on only to fall and get hurt.

Mmm it does say steel construction, which parts don't feel safe for you and how much do you weigh?

Looking to use this for the kitchen forsub 200 lb people.

Bought one to test out, easy to return.

people who claim that returning an item is "easy" never seem to have an issue with the time suck and annoyance of actually returning an item

like man, some of us are busy

I have this, it feels just fine if you're using it at the intended height. My feedback is that it is a heavy ladder for this height...

As I get older, I definitely will spend more in the next one so I don't have to lug the step ladder up and down stairs, etc.

Home depot is on the way home for me, so no issue stopping by and making a return and picking up some other items that I may need for the house.

I am sure you have 15 minutes in your day where you mess around. It is just about prioritizing and making efficient use of your time.

Just like my amazon returns pile. I am not going to UPS for every single little return, I will batch it up and do multiple at the same time while I go pick up some lunch from the same plaza.

Exactly, looking for something to just leave in the kitchen for the SO to reach the top shelves.

Bought this and found it by my apartment's mailboxes... as is. Just the ladder and the manufacturer label torn and off to the side. Home Depot had shipped the ladder as is? And it came incredibly scratched and scuffed as if it had been in use for years.

Returning it and getting a new one as who knows how unsafe this is now.

I have 3 of these from the $10 deal a few years ago as well. They wobble and pop randomly. I hate them.
I still use them. But I hate them.
The steps are plastic and the mechanism to lock/unlock it. They just feel really cheap and do not inspire confidence. They havent broke but I'll be standing on one and it shifts and you hear a popping noise. Not even close to 200 pounds. My husband is also under 200. 🤷🏼 ♀️

I bought this last year for the kitchen. Very useful and easy to carry around! I ended up using it outdoors and got it dirty, so will get another one for indoor usage lol. Thanks OP!
