i just bought this to change my air filters and some higher shelves. if you plan on using it FOR ANYTHING ELSE this is NOT the ladder for you. It's plastic and does not feel safe.

I saw an all metal version at costco for $5-7 more. get that.

I'd have to disagree with you. I have the same one (from back in the golden age a couple years ago when it was slick for $10) and it feels plenty sturdy.
I'm not going to do plyometrics workouts on it but I've done SEVERAL OTHER THINGS besides stand on it to change a filter.
That being said, it's solid but nothing special. Didn't think it was slick for $25 but decent for $20 if that's the best you can do these days.

This isn't a ladder. It's a step up (no pun intended) from a simple stool. Get it for the people that like to use chairs just because they're convenient. I got one of these for the MIL for Xmas a few years ago because she was one of those chair people. I have something similar to this on each level of my home so there's no excuse for stacking shit to climb on only to fall and get hurt.

I bought this ladder last year for around this price. It is really sturdy and durable. My partner who weighs almost 300 lbs used it to help fix our gutters and it held him no problem.

I use it for tons of stuff around the house - and it cleans up really well if you do use it outside.

I have this and feel completely confident using it. Mine is missing a plastic leg piece and I'm constantly moving heavy and awkward items around the garage shelves while on the ladder and it's sturdy even with the un even legs. With this ladder you are barely two feet of the ground just the right height to reach stuff.

I have this stool and it's 90% metal. Feels very solid. It's super useful to use around the house. I been using it for over 3 years without any issues.

If you're buying this to keep indoors for the wife. Slash yourself. I highly recommend the lightweight aluminum. Step Ladder. I have one summer like this and it weighs like 25 pounds and it's a pain in the butt going up two stories. Up and down.

Bought this for 25 bucks and it's bigger brother for 50 bucks. This is definitely not as solidly built as the bigger, heavier, wider version. It's fine for skinny folks for occasional uses.

I have this, the steps are metal. For the price I can't complain. Oh also it shipped without a box so it'll probably get scratched up a little. But again, not a problem.

Home depot is on the way home for me, so no issue stopping by and making a return and picking up some other items that I may need for the house.

I am sure you have 15 minutes in your day where you mess around. It is just about prioritizing and making efficient use of your time.

Just like my amazon returns pile. I am not going to UPS for every single little return, I will batch it up and do multiple at the same time while I go pick up some lunch from the same plaza.
15 minutes for a return? And at Home Depot?! Must be nice! It takes me about that long just to get there one-way. And I've only returned something twice, never shorter than 30 minutes even with just 1 person ahead of me. And one of those times the customer service guy literally stuck his hands inside his jeans and started scratching and digging at his balls, then asked me for my phone to see the receipt (stuck out his hand for me to hand it to him). I stepped back and showed him and asked what number he needed. So yeah, not only can it be a very time-consuming process, it's really one I don't want to deal with. Even when I've gotten a very helpful and polite person.

Gotta love that good 'ole inflation. I remember like it was yesterday when these were always Black Friday deals and only 9.99. Those days are gone.
