That's the problem with these Dysons. They make dozens of different models and they don't make it easy to determine the differences.

I bought the v8 on sale at target yesterday and it does come with the small attachment, but this one comes with more (is it the longer attachment that people are talking about). I may need to return ut and get this one

I have this and need a new one. this has been great, before I pull the trigger, any thoughts on a better deal or better vac bc this does all I need as a in-between and hand vac.

We have a Dyson and the battery life on the cordless one is terrible, replaced the battery with one on Amazon now it's on its last leg, dying every 30 seconds so hesitate purchasing another Dyson

That's why you go with the adapter and ryobi/dewalt/bosch/milwaukee/other tool battery option.

i have this and wouldn't recommend buying at this price. Battery life is terrible and if you have a large space this is not useful. May be for a smaller space and quick clean this may be helpful.

These last about 5-10 mins tops, it's fine as a handheld for quick cleanup but don't expect to vacuum the house with the long extension in one shot

Just ordered off Walmart. Strangley they didnt charge sales tax. So it was $225 all in. I'll have to see if they make an adjustment later.

I have/had this exact model bought it refurbished for the EXACT SAME PRICE 225 in 2020. It has served me well, I will never go back to a corded vacuum. It's done great as a low effort way to keep the carpet clean with a dog that sheds a lot. Easy to get out and run over the floors twice a week.

Unfortunately mine just died this week, the vacuum pump has a hardware problem (the led stays solid red) and dyson has determined I need a new main body component. They haven't gotten back to me on cost so I'm wondering if I should buy it again….

I have every cordless dyson model from their start to the v10. The performance difference with the v10 is only noticeable with the max setting, because it has 3 power settings, and the middle one seems to match the v8's max; but the v10 max is overkill and will stick to some rugs, so you can't move it. That extra v10 suction is awesome on hard floors, though, where the brush heads might just kick around debris heavier than dust, like kitty litter- that v10 max power won't let it escape, so it does a much better job.
