Anybody know if this is better to get than the Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100V 30 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller for camper van electrical system since you can connect both solar panels and alternator to charge the batteries?

Cant find that model to get the exact specs but from what you typed the only reason I would choose the Victron was if I need the higher PV voltage. (to run 3-4 panels in series or even one big residential style 40v panel) The Renogy has higher charge current, and if you have a european car, the Renogy comes with the ability to signal the new "smart" altetnatirs (whatever that means)
