With Amazon you are buying the subscription through Amazon and they manage it. Once you link it to your Adobe account your account at Adobe will list this subscription and say "managed through Amazon".
Also it will not stack with any subscription you already have. They will run concurrent.
The Newegg deal is much more straightforward and easy to deal with. Newegg sends you a certificate that you redeem in your Adobe account. The certificate will stack if you are already on the same plan. And, right now anyway, the Newegg deal is cheaper.
I made the mistake last year of using Amazon thinking it would be like buying the subscription from any other retailer. Never again.

I bought 1yr from B&H because that's the one I saw first, and because I actually trust them. Took about an hour for the code to be sent. So after reading here a bit and deciding to test my luck, I also bought a year from Newegg. That code arrived much quicker. I logged into my account and got screenshots just in case, but after entering the Newegg code in @ redeem.adobe.com, i reloaded my account page and next payment changed to Dec 21, 2024 (but back at the full $19.99 rate, but still a happy result.)
A few minutes later the B&H code arrived, and I rolled the dice again and bada bing, now next payment says Dec 21, 2025.
I'm almost tempted to order another from B&H, but given that I now have 2 years prepaid, and these deals seem to happen often enough, I think I'll just see what the landscape looks like in 2 years, and enjoy not thinking about it again until then.
After both code redemptions, within about 1-2 minutes, adobe also sent confirmation emails that explicitly cite the new expiration dates as well.
But yeah, hopefully my experience answers a few questions for others.

TLDR: Purchasing a second one extends the duration by another year as long as its the same exact product (Creative Cloud Photography Plan 1TB)

I too am contemplating of buying more than 2 years worth. Maybe 10 years lol. Subscription prices are going up like crazy. 10 years is only $900 which is not bad and not have to worry about it for 10 years. Though, after 5% inflation, thats about $1396 which is only $140/mo, still cheaper than how much Adobe is charging for it.
Let me know if you plan on getting more than 2 years and I might do the same haha.
