For anyone that is considering this or the Amazon deal and doesn't already know the way the subscriptions work is very different.

With Amazon you are buying the subscription through Amazon and they manage it. Once you link it to your Adobe account your account at Adobe will list this subscription and say "managed through Amazon".
Also it will not stack with any subscription you already have. They will run concurrent.

The Newegg deal is much more straightforward and easy to deal with. Newegg sends you a certificate that you redeem in your Adobe account. The certificate will stack if you are already on the same plan. And, right now anyway, the Newegg deal is cheaper.

I made the mistake last year of using Amazon thinking it would be like buying the subscription from any other retailer. Never again.

I've bought this deal multiple times and you can just add to your current subscription in the Cloud Adobe account.

If you're someone like me who has been using the standard Photography plan (20GB) through deals posted here every year, I can confirm that it doesn't extend that. Instead, you end up with two concurrent plans: the Photography plan (20GB) and the Creative Cloud Photography plan with 1TB.

How long can you hold onto this before you redeem it? I purchased my son the 100gb in September.

$2 less at B&H, and you can buy multiples. I extended mine to November of 2026.
Did you order both from BH? or one from newegg and one from BH? Bought my first one from Newegg and then 2nd from BH (havent received code from BH yet). wonder if there will be issues extending. It's the same product though.... so should be no issues.

Nice. I just gotta wait till sundown for Shabbat to end before I can order. Good to hear B&H isn't limiting orders. I even tried a second account for Newegg but same shipping but Newegg managed to still catch me and cancelled my order 😂

Were you able to order it from BH and try to see if it extended?

So I just did the annual chat-haggle with Adobe sales a couple months ago, and managed to get the $20/mo 1tb plan back to $15/mo for another year. So, coming into this from that position, 2 months/payments in, and 'next' payment slated for December 21st this year.

I bought 1yr from B&H because that's the one I saw first, and because I actually trust them. Took about an hour for the code to be sent. So after reading here a bit and deciding to test my luck, I also bought a year from Newegg. That code arrived much quicker. I logged into my account and got screenshots just in case, but after entering the Newegg code in @ redeem.adobe.com, i reloaded my account page and next payment changed to Dec 21, 2024 (but back at the full $19.99 rate, but still a happy result.)

A few minutes later the B&H code arrived, and I rolled the dice again and bada bing, now next payment says Dec 21, 2025.

I'm almost tempted to order another from B&H, but given that I now have 2 years prepaid, and these deals seem to happen often enough, I think I'll just see what the landscape looks like in 2 years, and enjoy not thinking about it again until then.

After both code redemptions, within about 1-2 minutes, adobe also sent confirmation emails that explicitly cite the new expiration dates as well.

But yeah, hopefully my experience answers a few questions for others.

i don't understand why Adobe doesn't offer monthly sub. like I dont need Lightroom for a whole year. After a vacay, I just want to use it for like a month and call it done until the next time I need it.
This is exactly why Adobe doesn't offer monthly sub. lol.

I'm hoping you can clarify -- it sounds like you can enter two codes on the same account, same plan and it will just extend the plan an additional year, similar to how Microsoft 365 works? Is that correct?

Honestly, if you only need to do editing for a short period you are probably better off with something like Pixelmator Pro, Luminar Neo (offers monthly rate), or Affinity Photo. These are all good photo editors on a budget. All can edit RAW if that is what you shoot. Pixelmator Pro and Affinity Photo are "for life" so no sub fees either. To be honest the one thing that keeps me on LR is it has a DAM. If Pixelmator or Affinity every developed a stable DAM I'd be out of Adobe in a hot minute.

Maybe i'll check those out but i haven't really looked at any others because LR is just so good. I love how it works and the interface. I've been using default RAW editors from Fuji and Olympus...they just suck! i mean they'll get the job done but just not fun to use at all.

Is this the best deal that we will see for this? I currently pay the lower $10 month-to-month plan. It thought Adobe had a better deal last year during the holidays.

What deals have you seen with the standard Photography Plan? This for the $10 month-to-month?

I there a code for B&H for the sale or can buy it outright? Is the sale over? I don't see it on their site.

Taht's correct. I purchased the Newegg Version and then the BH version. Mine was extened to 2 years. I panicked for a bit because it didnd't show up on my account immediately after putting the code in. Then 5-10 minutes later I received an email confirmation with the updated date. So wait a few minutes after putting the 2nd code in for the new expiration date to be reflected on your account.

TLDR: Purchasing a second one extends the duration by another year as long as its the same exact product (Creative Cloud Photography Plan 1TB)

It should be on the product page itself.

Got mine for 2 years as well. I panicked after entering the 2nd code because the account page did not reflect the additional year. It took about 5-10 minutes and got an email confirmation and everything was good.

I too am contemplating of buying more than 2 years worth. Maybe 10 years lol. Subscription prices are going up like crazy. 10 years is only $900 which is not bad and not have to worry about it for 10 years. Though, after 5% inflation, thats about $1396 which is only $140/mo, still cheaper than how much Adobe is charging for it.

Let me know if you plan on getting more than 2 years and I might do the same haha.
