Amazon is $1 less than wyze.com with prime payment, but OG seems stop recording if internet down. Their programmers are so dumb.

Prob cost less to manufacture and maybe less build quality, they do feel of less quality but (I have around 8 setup) they do load 3x faster in app, have an LED light, slightly louder mini siren and the mic/speaker 2way audio is better than V3.

Only cons is not having cam lite as all new cams from now on but thier $89 per year unlimited cam plus plan for 99 cams is worth it IMO

The regular Price at Home Depot is around $16.78. It takes slightly longer to load live view than v3. But everything else is basically the same

It is when nothing is plugged in. You have to open the enclosure to plug something in and that makes it not weatherproof.

Wyze is hot trash now, they got greedy and are just a glorified wish.com, cameras break after updates amd support is non existent, when you finally get support, they will offer a credit of half the cost at most plus Shipping. Find another surveillance platform.
Oh also they will automatically sign you up to the premium cloud storage multiple times and not refund even if it's double charges

You're talking about outdoor enclosures that you specifically have to add yourself if you want things plugged into it to be weatherproof. External outlets are covered with just outdoor rated wallplates. There is no provision for wiring in those.

This is an example of whats found on most houses out there for external outlets (becomes non-weatherproof as soon as you plug something in because the lid stays open):
