This is a good deal if you need the kit. Was hoping for a deal on the 3/8".

Edit: Special buy for 3/8" mid torque with battery but no charger is $209.99.

couldn't you just use an adaptor to fit 3/8 on a 1/2? I'm not a tool expert. Just wondering.. I'm tempted to get this, but I have a M12 Fuel version from slick deals a few years ago.

I am switching to this from the m12 stubby since once a while the stubby is not strong enough.

note that the m18 fuel 1/2 version has higher torque than the 3/8 version (650 ft-lb vs 600 ft-lb) while the m12 stubby has same torque for both 1/2 and 3/8 version (250 ft-lb)

On paper, yet the 3/8 had just as much torque when tested by Shop Tool Reviews. Worth a watch on YT

Why not just get the 1/2 high torque?

too heavy. This is only 3.5lbs, m12 stubby 2lbs, high torque 5.9lbs. All are without battery.

It's 2.5" longer and twice as heavy. This is 250 lb ft which is perfect for automotive. I can't think of anything on a normal car or pickup or even home use that would require more torque than that. I definitely wouldn't use it for engine work it would just break things. Maybe tractors and medium duty trucks would benefit. Bigger isn't always better!

What's the minimum one would need if they live in a rust belt state? m12 stubby 3/8 or 1/2? m18?

Any reason to get this if I already have 1/2 and 3/8 stubby?

Unless you're running into instances where you need stuff torqued down more, absolutely not.

Depends what you plan to do with it. I have the 3/8 stubby and have been waiting for this to go on sale. I can do lugnuts on all my vehicles with the 3/8 stubby but have run into some bolts the 3/8 stubby can't do and want this for. Caliper bracket bolts, axle nuts, etc.

Been watching for a good deal for a year or so. This is one of the best I've seen. Thanks OP!
