This laptop--like most 16" laptops--isn't actually any wider than a 15.6" laptop, the screen is just taller. It's actually smaller than 15.6" laptops of yore; the screen bezel is narrower.

But I'm a fan and bought one for my Dad, an old man who didn't want a fancy screen, gaming capacity, or a lot of portability. With the Amex offer taking it down to $480-490, it's solid if you accept its limitations.

Yes about the display but in terms of the gfx, I don't believe it would be much better on photoshop compared to discrete graphics like mx550 or 3050 anyway
