I have this and it works great but it's regularly at this price. I paid $52.47 for it in July.

These cyber Monday and Black Friday sales have mostly all been scams.

Great device, but unfortunately all Philips Norelco shavers with rechargeable batteries die after about a year of regular use...I wish they were more durable.

how close is the shave for facial hair? I'm a sparse grower, so I need to shave every 2 days to look professional or I look like a beggar. But using a razor blade is getting annoying.

The generations before this model had a docking station for charging.
Most users tend to leave the trimmer in the docking station when not in use.
This meant that it was constantly being charged, which is not good for the battery's longevity.

This latest generation had two major changes. The battery type was changed from metal hydrate to lithium ion. The docking station was eliminated and replace with a simple charging cord setup.

These two changes increased the trimmer's maximum runtime between full charges and improved the lifetime of the battery.

Which end do you use for shaving? I've only done the clipper end with the shorts guard, scared to try the other end or without the guard

The clipper blade is very narrow compared to a regular hair clipper, like maybe 1/3 the size so it will take 3x he time
