I hate it. The ice maker is super slow and takes like 5 seconds to respond, and the compenents are very cheaply made. I've had to tighten the door handle twice already and the clip on the filter housing broke the first time I tried to replace the filter.

I've had similar quality issues with my Whirlpool oven. Never again. Jumping ship to LG next time.

I bought this two years ago...no it wasn't. It was $2400 because there was a supply chain shortage.

Counter-depth was a life changer. Square footage is so valuable and I hate the look of a fridge jetting out into the kitchen. If I'm honest it is still to big inside. I have way too much food in there that I will never use. I don't generally shop at Costco though, so I don't need bulk capacity.

Here to say the same thing. Whirlpool is junk now. 2 Whirlpool dishwashers that each lasted 4 years. Never again. Bosch or bust!

By redesigned, do you mean renamed the compressor tech ? They've always had good reviews on HD/Costco/Lowes, etc because people would leave a good review as the fridges work well, they look well built, etc. But then, a couple of years down the road the compressors went. Those failures did not make it into the early reviews.

If this helps someone I didn't realize that the Costco credit card no longer gave an extended warranty. We bought a fridge recently and bought directly from Whirlpool Inside Pass because it was cheaper to buy the fridge and their extended warranty than the same one from Costco.

There is a thread on here somewhere where you can get guest access or ask people what the price is if you want to compare.
The form factor is better than the drawer bottoms I think.

They basically admitted failure with their newer linear compressor design by going back to the old, but tried-and-true inverter compressor.

I said it. I bought this. This style is helpful since I lose track of things easily when they're stacked on top of each other in a typical bottom freezer. Not space efficient, but I took that trade-off.

It sucks to be tripping over and walking around a fridge because its 4 inches out further than anything else.

Fridge has been great. No issues. Would like more drawers for fridge I kinda miss but not a massive issue.
