I hate it. The ice maker is super slow and takes like 5 seconds to respond, and the compenents are very cheaply made. I've had to tighten the door handle twice already and the clip on the filter housing broke the first time I tried to replace the filter.

I've had similar quality issues with my Whirlpool oven. Never again. Jumping ship to LG next time.
I bought this two years ago...no it wasn't. It was $2400 because there was a supply chain shortage.
For those of us without a time machine, it seems like an ok option.

I said it. I bought this. This style is helpful since I lose track of things easily when they're stacked on top of each other in a typical bottom freezer. Not space efficient, but I took that trade-off.

100% agree. It's super quiet and satisfies my need to keep my freezer organized.

Do your homework before going LG. While I've had a LG fridge for 10 years now it's been plagued with problems and was poorly designed. When the fan went out for freezer problems after about a year they sent out a technician who was a parts changer... did the only thing he knew to do & told me hoped it fixed it cause it would take over a month to get the circuit board from Korea! So he changed out the only related part they had in stock & hoped it would fix the issue (that did).
Then there was the power dropout that was enough to reset the clocks in the house & the fridge never restarted one morning. Lucky I know how to troubleshoot things (nothing worked at all), figured there might be fuse blown. Sure enough there was... not normally a servicable item though it is soldered directly onto the main circuit board! Who designs a fridge with the fuse soldered on the main board? I can guess if that one had been a service call it would have been a whole circuit board repair...
There's been much beyond that, I'll be looking elsewhere when we replace the LG fridge...

100% agree, we got rid of our deep freezer in the garage because we dont know whats in the bottom of the deep freezer and digging through it was a massive pain, especially when its winter and the ambient temperature is already freezing with your raw hands. This is the same problem with current french door bottom freezer designs, you lose track of crap in the freezer and keep buying thinking you need more protein, but its all there. I just wish this design had slightly more capacity.

Heavily debating going back to side by side design now with most of the stuff visible and accessible instead of digging in a bin style freezer

LG did a redesign around 2019-2020. Their newer products are making it to the top of the list on repair/design reviews.

I currently have KitchenAid 83 inch high counter-depth fridge. Its been creating an ice block at the bottom for a a year now, but replacing it is such a hassle. A similar one is $8K+... Its 20 years old this year.
And smaller ones all seem to have issues!
Its only 15cu/f for main part and 5.5 for freezer. I really like the "flex" option, where you can convert part of the freezer to normal fridge. We could use a basement one for more freezer space.

I bought this model for the same price in June when our 10 yr old fridge died unexpectedly. It has its shortcomings (mostly in the inflexible shelf layout and near-impossibily of keeping tall things like wine bottles in the fridge) but overall it's been what we needed. I have a small kitchen so the counter depth is great, and the 4 door design makes it so I'm not pinned up against the pantry to be able to dig thru a French door style pull-out freezer. It is quiet, and an extra bonus has been the separately adjustable temp of the freezer compartments...never knew ice cream was so much easier to scoop at a freezer set to 10 degrees instead of 0!

19 cubic feet is very much on the small end for a counter depth ~32 inch, 36 inch wide fridge. Usually they are around 24-28 depending on how much space is wasted on internals

Can someone who has this measure from the floor to the top of the casing, not including the door hinge?

The specs say 68.5", but I went around measuring a bunch of fridges the other day and almost all of them were taller than the specs say.

Yeah you might want to rethink that

As mentioned above, they redesigned their kitchen products just before the pandemic and you'll find them near the top of the repairman recommendations now. Especially their washers and fridges. They stopped using off the shelf parts (shared by Samsung).

There is zero chance you got this for 600 bucks from a retail store. Counter depth always cost more money because it's considered luxury.

$623 from whirlpool.com in 2022. It's a pretty decent fridge. It's smaller than our old one, but it works for my larger family.

Looks like a pricing mistake and alot of people got their orders canceled.

The deal came back a few months later. Mine from that round was canceled, but others got the same deal in the summer of 2022.

We are looking for a four door fridge but need at least 26cu for our big family. I see Samsung has one but over 2K 😭 this price would totally fit but too small.
