I've had similar quality issues with my Whirlpool oven. Never again. Jumping ship to LG next time.

2 years ago is long gone.
There is zero chance you got this for 600 bucks from a retail store. Counter depth always cost more money because it's considered luxury.
Do some research you can still find the post. I bought it for 600
Nope directly sold from whirlpool
I know some people complain about counter depth, but some kitchens like ours can't handle full size fridges.
A French door freezer also seems strange.

Here is a great blog about counter depth fridges-

The $600 deal from whirlpool mostly wasn't shipped. People who did price match actually shipped.
If this helps someone I didn't realize that the Costco credit card no longer gave an extended warranty. We bought a fridge recently and bought directly from Whirlpool Inside Pass because it was cheaper to buy the fridge and their extended warranty than the same one from Costco.
There is a thread on here somewhere where you can get guest access or ask people what the price is if you want to compare.

First off, people complaining about the price... gotta get educated. Counter-depth is a premium that you'll pay for, it sucks but them's the breaks. It does look nice and doesn't stick out like regular refrigerators would. Looks like it was built-in but isn't.
It actually works well and for my household the size is great, zero complaints about form and function. The only negative for me comes from something I asked about when this deal was posted last: the seals. If you read the reviews you'll see people complain about the seals tearing and the last time this deal was posted another commenter said they have the same fridge with no issues. I decided to gamble.
My seals have torn in less than 6 months. I'm not rough on this fridge at all, used very normally, but still have issues that I now need to rectify through Costco I guess. To me they are just too thin, seems like a cost-cutting measure or something. Or maybe it's the french doors, the way they close do seem to cause wear and tear on the seals.
Anyway buyer beware. Great fridge otherwise and despite the seals being torn it's still functioning great, all my food is cold. I like the way it looks, it is kinda futuristic and the lack of handles makes it more sleek. Just wish they hadn't cheaped out on the seals!!!
Only a moron would buy this.
You must be new to "counterdepth" refrigerators
After trekking through Best Buy, Lowe's, and Home Depot with a tape measure, this is probably the most affordable french-door fridge with doors tha open nearly flush with the sides of the fridge at 90 degrees. Several LG models would have fit with the exception of the Counter Depth Max models. Most of Samsung's hinges were horrible for my space and would have made their fridges quite literally unusable. Hopefully this helps someone else with a less than optimal space for their fridge.
