If you want a digital detox and a dependable timepiece on field trips, this is a good choice.
Have this watch with black watch face, green band. Very easy to read in the sun. Lots of standard NATO strap options out there for accessorizing if you want.
Had issues with automatic watches, as if you don't wear them a few days, they stop ticking. The mechanical time piece also was less accurate in my experience than a quartz.
Timex are great for going places with high chance of watch damage / loss. They keep great time, and the battery lasts (mine lasted 5 years, changing it was pretty easy).

In the meantime this watch has a classic look and easy to read. Battery last multiple years. And no reason to look at it every minute for notifications or weather.
I had a great Misfit hybrid which was the best I've ever owned. Looked like normal watch but if I had a notification or call it would move the hands to a selected number really handy. But they stopped support and bricked it basically.
I'd like to get this in a dark gray or black dial though.
