Just admit you're wrong. This is the entry level "R" Reference line. Not the "RP" Reference Premier line.
TOTALLY different products.
There is no R-1600, only an RP-1600.
Prove me wrong.
I bought 2 R12SW Klipsch subs open box from this seller Adorama and they were in perfect condition with everything included as a new one would have. I have 4 of them so I know what I am talking about. Good seller and fast shipping.
Same thing I did, bought two for my living room open box. I already had this 10 inch one but moved that to my bedroom. The 12" ones are a great value.
Tons of open box used for 120 too. Not sure what this sites quality is with used stuff compared to like Amazon warehouse but thinking of trying for one
Never realized they had open box stuff. Grabbing a 12" klipsh sub. TNX

Man, I want to jam music like I did years ago. I had an Onkyo receiver 5.1 that could vibrate the neighbors dishes (Never would be that mean though).
Also want to make tv sound better. Is there a soundbar that I could have a wire connection to, that would be loud and deep enough to run me out of the house?
I really don't want wireless connections and also don't feel like running all of the wiring to all of the extra speakers. Don't know anything about soundbars so was just wondering.

You want to look for measurements of the sub. If you can't find of that sub, look for measurements of other models in the same range and then guestimate. Audioholocs, Erin's Audio Corner, and Audio Science Review are the main publishers of measurements. https://data-bass.com is great too, but they pretty much only measure the big boys.
Specs published by a manufacturer are generally useless unless they publish their own measurements. The CEA-2010 is what you want. If comparing from different sources, note that there are A and B versions of the test that give different results but that can be calculated from each other. Do some searching.
Sub "speed" is a vague marketing term used to con rubes into buying overpriced crap subs. What exactly are you talking about? Please describe something measurable, not some fantasy made up by audio marketers and pushed by YouTube morons.
Congrats on figuring out the perfect balance between cost and performance, your system must be the best sounding system anywhere.
I have the RSL12s in my main speaker setup and agree the 10s is the best sub under $500. However, for $120 OB, the Klipsch will work for my laptop/desktop setup.

I have the 12" version of this and my 10" JBL blows it out of the water. Bought the JBL on the last sale at $150. Sure, If you really need one today if not get the JBL.

This is in the "R" line. Totally different.
This is bottom line, entry level.

Klipsch has several lines in their speaker/subwoofer products. The "R" line (this subwoofer line) is entry level.
I doubt audioholics would bother testing anything in the "R" line.
You're wrong bro. Plain and simple. Move on.

For those that want a decent sub, get one with twice the power and at least 22 Hz, like this one:
