Really confused. Is this post talking about garden sheds or a laptop. Maybe there's no difference between the two? I feel like I'm in the Twilight zone.
Almost thought the suncast shed was $400.
Comparing laptops is tricky because there's so many different spec configurations within the same model. Comparing to the same model at Walmart with lesser specs, you're getting the same model with more storage and more memory for $100 less.
Anyone know how long you can reasonably leave these type of sheds around in the box unassembled for? It's winter time now, and would much prefer assembling this in the spring time.
I remember reading about other resin or plastic sheds, that after several months the parts may warp a little bit, making it harder to assemble later on. But I think that comment was from someone who left it out during the summer time.
The shed, what does it mean by "Sturdy Foundation Required"?
The shed and base are made of resin. It has to have a level, solid foundation, else, the entire product warps. The doors won't open/close/align, and the walls/roof will deform.
You can lay some pavers and level them, it doesn't need to be a concrete pad.
Have been wanting to get a outdoor shed for a very long time. All the bigger sizes would be too big in our yard, and I was watching this shed when it was in stock in the store in the fall around $700. I kept on checking periodically to see if they would clear them out or drop the price but then one week when I went back they were all gone
I called my local Costco earlier this week to see if anywhere in stock but they have none anywhere in Texas so I think online is my only option
I've called around a few handyman to see how much they would charge to install and I've gotten quotes anywhere from $300 to $500 to install and then plus materials to make a
base
I seen some people mention they were able to do it by themselves. If I'm somewhat handy is this relatively easy to put it together myself with the help of a 12-year-old? and to put a base in place? I saw someone else post They did it with their 12-year-old son in an hour but that seems like awfully fast, especially if contractors are charging $300 to $500 to install it. Thanks!!!
It's easy and straight forward to assemble. It's no harder than ikea furniture.
The base is the more difficult part. grab some cheap concrete pavers from somewhere like lowes, get some gravel and sand, and level out and lay pavers. try to keep it raised a bit so it doesn't flood in heavier rain.
built this 8 months back, in my back yard in Miami. It does not like the sun, roof has warped somewhat to a point if its windy and rainy, water is getting in.
Suncast products are garbage. It doesn't matter what it is. For these sheds, they have to be stored in 100% shade or indoors in order to not crumble apart.

Huh, I haven't had this experience. I put mine up about 8 months ago and it's been in full sun the whole time with summer temps in excess of 110 here in SW Idaho. Perhaps the humidity plays a bigger role than the heat? Mine looks and functions as good as when I first set it up.

I'm about to set mine up in Doral, hopefully, since its in a bit shaded area it doesn't warp.
