I purchased this TV on Black Friday at Best Buy and it definitely has Filmmaker mode. It's the mode after Movie in the settings menu. It's also definitely a QD-OLED. I took a macro picture of the panel and it only has RGB sub pixels.

I got the S89C into the back of my Honda Odyssey, in the box, it was not upright, but didn't have any trouble. I had some seats out to make it fit, but they come in/out pretty easily.

I had time to explore this TV, and so far, I can confirm the existence of a 'Film Maker Mode.' This TV is identical to the S90C, except for a subpar stand. A previous post mentioned a weak sound system, but I cannot verify this as I don't own the S90C. The one labeled 'wall mount TV' was priced at $2,999, while this one had a sale price. However, I need help finding the former, leading me to believe that BB is in the process of updating its website. These are essentially the same TV. That being said, I've been unable to access the 'ANA_PEAK' menu or whatever it is. I've taken some pictures for you to see for yourselves. The most noteworthy observation is that the software (SW) is based on the S90C. I'm sharing this information so that people can better understand, as this TV has limited reliable information. I'm not trying to persuade anyone to make a purchase or cancel their order.

I can confirm that this TV does indeed have FilmMaker mode as well as QD OLED. I compared the sub pixels with my previous 65 inch LG C3. Super stoked about the purchase. Only complaint is the stand is a little flimsy for such a large TV.

I returned the S90C 65" I had purchased from Samsung since it was Gen 1 panel and I wanted to go bigger. Picked this up yesterday and wow it's awesome. I don't have a phone that takes macro photos, but I verified the Ana Peak of 588. It also has filmmaker mode.

EDIT EDIT: This TV is a mystery. We only know for sure the original press release said WOLED by LG, then when it hit shelves, "Quantum" was quietly added to the item description. No independent testing has been done yet, but Rtings got one delivered Dec 7. No official word from Samsung on what panel it is (chat reps don't count).
My theory (speculation) is these are previously never released 77" Gen 1 panels. Why?
1) Uses a bit more power per specs than an S90C (Gen 1 was less efficient than Gen 2)
2) Only comes in 77" size (the only size never released during Gen 1 fabrication)
3) Probably low production numbers since it's only sold at Best Buy (Gen 1 had low yield issues which Samsung cited as the reason for no 77" QD TVs at first.)
4) They named it S89C implying it's somehow inferior to the S90C in the same way the S90C is to the S95C.
5) It doesn't makes sense to basically sell a S90C under a new name if it's wasn't somehow different to justify the different model number.
Before i get another comment about "Samsung never made a 77" gen 1" no, they never *released* a 77" gen 1. There's a very important distinction there.

The other reason is LG is losing money on their OLED branch to the point that they got a new executive to try to spin the OLED branch. It is expected that cuts will be done to the R&D and investment will be put to improve the utilization of their OLED factories and yield production. Hopefully this will translate in cheaper prices.
There are some improvements in production that might help reduce prices. This is all expectations, but if you have the time to wait and see what happens I would say wait. The MLA, QD, and XR Clear technologies this year in my opinion do show a significant improvement to the previous generations. While different between OLED and LED, the commonalities shared between these technologies will help spreadout the R&D burden between LED and OLED TVs, which should also help reduce prices for OLEDs.
Mini LED technology l will also help close the gap between OLEDs and LEDs (OLED still being better), but should put some pressure on the OLED prices.
My guess is that OLED will start competing with affordable prices at the 65in and 77in and push the crazy insane prices to 83in and above TVs and the 8K TVs.

Question though, I went ahead and got the 5 year geek squad protection. I just can't shake the fact that I spent nearly 25% of the cost of the TV on it. I have 30 days to cancel, what are we thinking about the longevity of these? I really doubt burn in will be an issue for us.

With all of the confusion on this thread especially over NA vs Europe versions of this TV, I don't see any "proof" or info in that video that tells me for sure this panel is not QD-OLED. Just beause they say it's not doesn't mean it's not. It's not like he said he reached out to Samsung for clarification or they have a unit and tested it out looking at the pixel pattern (or however way you can truly tell between a WRLGB-OLED and QD-OLED).
