I had Moto G Power, Moto G stylus, both 2020 release. These great mid range phones. I do not play games, but for everything else these phones work perfectly. I do not know about Moto Edge 2022 offered by T-Mobile, but Moto Edge 2023 is at least as good as my Pixel 6 Pro, my be not as good in Photo department, but other than that it looks and behaves like premium phone.

Go to the other (previous) thread.

More subscribers complain because either TMO or Costco (or both) messed up the gift card process.

Also, more subscribers still waiting for their GC

recently got the g stylus from the boost deal and i am actually impressed. build performance ui all good even with mediocre hardware. also got an a54 from another deal which is no slouch but i like the moto better. for $70 i would choose the g over any pros or ultras. not to say that this a bad deal, but consider 2026 will be around the corner when this phone is finally free.

Is anyone else here still on the old-school SCNC (Simple Choice No Credit Check) Promo Plan (which is considered to be a Prepaid Plan)?

I've had my T-Mobile service, for over 10 years now (since 2013), and I've been on the Simple Choice No Credit Check plan, the entire time. When I just looked at my T-Mobile 'Plan Details', it shows that I have 'Simple Choice Promo'.

I currently have 3 lines with Unlimited Talk/Text/Data and pay $112 per month. This monthly price is actually for 2 lines of service, but, somehow, I was eligible for free line promotion a few years ago, and that's why I have 3 lines. I believe that the promotion was called "This Line's On Us", or something similar to that. However, as far as I can recall, this is literally the only promotion that I have ever been eligible for, with this SCNC Promo Plan.

Whenever I see the awesome promotions that are sometimes available (i.e. free or highly-discounted new/expensive phones), it makes me think about trying to switch to a different T-Mobile plan. However, I still have fairly awful credit (which is why I got the SCNC Promo Plan, in the first place), so I don't know if I would even be able to switch to a different monthly plan.

By the way, I also have T-Mobile Home Internet and I pay $50/month, because I couldn't even merge my Home Internet account with my cell service plan, to be eligible for any sort of discount. And I actually have to use two different e-mail address logins, for my cell service and Home Internet accounts, respectively.

So, with my situation described, I'm curious, would anyone like to give me some helpful feedback about which different monthly plan that I might want to try to switch to? A Magneta Plan? The (presumably) newer Go5G Plan? Or anything else? And why it might be a better choice than the SCNC Promo Plan that I am currently paying $112/month for?

Basically, is there a comparable postpaid plan that would allow me to have 3 lines of service, for around this same $112 monthly price AND allow me to be eligible for promotions, like this one? Also, even if a different/newer/better plan might increase my monthly bill, would there be any additional features and/or would being eligible for promotions make it worth the price increase?

I apologize for the lengthy post. And if anyone would like to reply and share some helpful feedback/suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

This great deal is back with a new promo code, thanks op. If you have an old phone in any condition (including flip, water damaged, doesn't turn on), get this promo using Costco route for a new phone + $75 Costco card. My previous $75 credit was declined, but 1 call to the promo desk and they gave me $75 T-Mobile credit.

Is this for all plans of just to tier plans only???
that was the message I got after putting the imei and answering their questions.
Technically it should work for all rate plans but I'm not 100% sure

you have to go thru the trade in process in the same page and after that's done successfully, you will now be able to see that the 'Uprade My Line' button is no longer grayed out

I chatted with them on Twitter and had them process it.. Surprisingly, they're shipping me an ink blue color vs black ( the only color listed on their website )

I'm on a grandfathered plan ( Simple Choice Promo ) and I qualified no problem.

Had a really old ( Moto G) phone collecting dust that I traded in for this.. should make a good future trade in device laugh out loud

I used samsung, LG, an a ton of no name phones before SD told me how great moto was. An i figured the extra price on them would make them as good as Samsung an LG. Boy was I wrong. These devices software is junky. My one I payed $100 for barely can make a phone call (no exaggerating). It constantly hounds me to update it but it doesn't have enough storage to download the update an the phone is stripped of all but like 20-40 small apps. This one I guess they robbed people at like $600 for an its half of performance I got no name for $100. Used to get my Samsungs for free minus taxes an charges. Dunno what generic ones are out there good right now. I'm definitely never going to buy one of these extremely overhyped overpriced 40$ moto phones.
Have been using Moto Edge 2022 for the past couple of months.
The goods are:
Bright OLED screen with great outdoor visibility. It also has 144 FPS.
Wireless QI and Fast Charging.
NFC for Google Pay.
8GB RAM and speedy.

The Bad:
Camera. The Camera on this phone is comparable to Samsug A Series. The images are better than A32 not as good as A54. If are used to Pixel and Samsung S Series OPTICAL Zoom, this will disappoint you but overall decent camera.
Not so good on 4G coverage and 5G switching is not always smooth. This could be to my local area. Once or twice a week, I turn Airplane mode On and Off to reconnect.
Battery only lasts a day. I have over 160 apps installed on this phone across three different profiles, although the phone is zippy the battery -despite 5000 mAMP- only lasts me a one full day. Battery usage reports most of the power being used by Cellular Network. Frequency hopping is this phone biggest weakness. I have tried to disable 5G but that caused lots of coverage drops.

Still in Android 12. Despite Moto promise of update, there has not been Android 13 or 14 upgrade.

Overall good phone. In my opinion better than A54 not as good as S22/S23 FE and a lot less than P7/P8 or S22/S23.

I agree with you said. I got this phone from the last deal. I used it for a month and went back to Samsung. Horrible design, had to disable auto brightness, there is no "close all" in the task switcher, instead it allows taking a screen shot, menus are text based, list goes on...
Motos always had 'close all' ...you have to swipe extreme left to use it . ( Its other way round than most normal androids)

I never did this deal, but just weighing in the actual phone as I'm making this post from a Moto Edge 2022 (except the 256GB variant). I don't play many games or watch many videos on the phone, but for the price I paid, I've been very happy with it for typical daily tasks. For most iPhone/Samsung lovers, you're prob never going to be happy with Motorola phones. I personally think they work great for what they are, but consider you pay a fraction of the cost of what you would a flagship iPhone/Samsung. I dropped iPhone after the 3GS ages ago and have always been happy with Motorola

I got two of the Moto Edge 2022s via an earlier offer, and I'll repeat the warnings about the lack of updates (the last security patch is from September, and the device is still on Android 12 from 2021), the poor connectivity (dropping GPS, 5G, and Bluetooth quite frequently), and mediocre camera.

Also, remember to disable the pre-installed App Selector/App Manager malware that will secretly download and install garbage apps onto your device.

That said, otherwise it's got a great screen and feels nice in hand. The processor is sufficient for regular tasks (not heavy games) and the battery life is solid. Once you've cleaned it up, the Moto Edge 2022 is a good option for younger kids or older folk who aren't as concerned with navigation, photos, or security.

Too bad your updates were for a phone with only 8-16gbs of space (circa 2006-2008). This phone has 128gb of space, but uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7030, which is an entry level processor, you will need to get the plus model to get a Snapdragon gen 1 and better specs. Even Samsung sometimes uses MediaTek chipsets in their entry level phones. This is an entry level to midrange phone. I believe you are thinking of the MotoG OG series.
