I had Moto G Power, Moto G stylus, both 2020 release. These great mid range phones. I do not play games, but for everything else these phones work perfectly. I do not know about Moto Edge 2022 offered by T-Mobile, but Moto Edge 2023 is at least as good as my Pixel 6 Pro, my be not as good in Photo department, but other than that it looks and behaves like premium phone.

Go to the other (previous) thread.

More subscribers complain because either TMO or Costco (or both) messed up the gift card process.

Also, more subscribers still waiting for their GC

if you order thru chat, call, in store, they will ask u to pay off EIP. if you order online yourself the system will not enforce it.
This is the truth. The system allows for multiple EIPs per line, each with their corresponding RDC, so buy online if you want multiple EIPs / RDC per line.

Whenever you get a person (chat, phone, in-person) involved, they most likely will require you to pay off a previous EIP before initiating a new EIP. They were probably taught this, and why would they help you exploit the system by maxing out EIPs. In this case, the paid off EIP's RDC moves to the account level, so you continue getting the credit monthly until the RDC runs out.

Question, if i order this and they send out the phone with sim. If i dont use that sim, will the existing sim still works? Or will it be deactivated automatically. The reason is that my mom is using that number and i just wanna use number for eip but not the phone. She leaves far btw so i dont want to mess this up.

I always re-use the old sim and put new sim in drawer. If your old sim was from 10 years ago then its better use the new sim. you can log in acct to replace the sim card yourself.

edit: your old sim will stay active until you make the change to use new sim.

Is it a limit of 4 per account per occurrence of this promo or just 4 per account period? As in, if I had done this trade in for 4 lines before, can I attempt it again for the remaining 4 lines I have or have I already met the 4 per account limit due to the previous trade in?

So I called the Costco line and tried to do this. I have 3 months left on a promo that I'm receiving credit on. I was told I need to pay off the balance (which is fine) but was also told that I wouldn't get the remaining 3 months of credit. But then again she said that I also qualified for a free accessory pack as a courtesy but then at the end said it is 25% off and billed monthly....... so I don't know if she was the most competent rep.

I guess to unlock the phone you need to completely payoff the balance. However you will continue receiving the bill credits.
After activation of moto edge, can I switch to another phone that is unlock and keep the moto unactivated and keep getting the credits?

I have a very old nokia phone with no battery. Does that qualifies a broken phone or need to have a battery on it?

You only need to activate and keep service on the device for 40 days consecutively in order to get it unlocked after paying off the device, no need to activate or keep using it just to get the credits.

Very interesting I just off the phone with Costco line as well, added 2 phones for 2 of my lines, get the 75(ea) gift card, $35 DCC waived and no mention of paying off the remaining EIP on the current lines.

Looks like the paying off remaining EIP requirement is also YMMV"

of course it runs android obviously not an Apple phone.

it's an ok phone considering it's free. It's moto they don't make great phones they make ok stuff and your getting it for nothing.
free? No, not with a 2 year commitment of expensive service. Sadly, Moto's have poor resale and trade in values. Also only 1 software upgrade.

Not worried about paying off... more worried about the remaining credits (e.g. getting $25 credit/month for 24 months... remaining 3 credits is supposedly going to be lost if I get a new promo). This is different from what I experienced before: I had up to 2 promos per line without issue.

well...both of my lines have multiple EIP attached before, never really have any issue of "losing" any of them. I think at one point one of the line has like 6 EIP promotes

Just got off the phone with Costco. Took 40 minutes as the Rep tried to sell me a tablet, a tablet line, insurance for the phone as well as a case and screen protector! I kept politely saying no to everything but kinda bugged me. I finally got the phone ordered with $35 activation fee waived and $75 shop card coming. Said she was in Texas but had a Filipino accent and was really hard to understand! I'm in Oregon, so zero cost to me! 😊
