I think I finally figured out my issue with all of these payment scheme spam posts: there should be one post, similar to credit card rewards, because this is not a deal specific to this card. I could use this deal to get a server motherboard, or RAM, or anything as long as 15% of it is $100 or less. So when all of these posts are spammed like this, it feels dishonest in a way.
It's like when Amazon upped their gift card reward to $200 for signing up for the credit card, we didn't see fields of spam posts talking about how many cool things we can get for $200 off if we signed up for the credit card. I don't know why we see so many of these every time this nonsense comes up, and this is coming from a guy who already has used affirm for something and is strongly considering using this discount.

agree, and i think these affirm deals are even more egregious because the soft credit pull isn't worth it vs. what else you could do with it. the juice isn't worth the (relative) squeeze!

Right. And it might be better for some to just take out a credit card with 0% interest for 12 or 18 months, and spread the cost out that way if they want to do that. Many of them have the lump sum reward for spending a certain amount and a certain period of time, which is going to be more than the max $100 deal this offers on top of allowing you to spread the payment out further with no interest
