Kinda Yes depending on applications (better sensor, better AF, better video, new menu). But A7 III is more than enough for most people.

Now the Sony a7 III is $1,150 after $100 statement credit and $50 Sony rebate at that website. So no need to ask for the EDU discount any more. The same price now. Great price for a great camera!
