Why is tempting??? To buy a used tv from Best Buy??? Scratched, and who knows how many issues ...
open box still has factory warranty on it, can always make claim if anything happens within that period. If scratched dont buy it , what other issues are you referring to ?

Open Box at BB and Amazon Warehouse can be treasure troves.

Do they let you plug it in to check everything out or is it kind of a physical inspection and return it if any other problems?
I wouldn't mind a deal like this for my second TV at all

tv is typically tested by the store before its put up for sale. Yes you can always ask to test it in store before purchase and able to return if any issues within return policy or use factory warranty.

Yes. Their GeekSquad test the TV before they put it on sale. I recently purchased Q80B 65" in $387+Tax. TV is decent. I also ordered this and was confused to keep QLED or go with this. After keeping order on hold for a week I decided to not go with OLED and I posted this deal. I am happy with Q80B QLED. Amazing picture quality and sound it has.

There's one local to me. Currently have a 70 inch led in the living room but it feels a tad too big and out of place. Should I go for this?
Absolutely!
Reserve/buy it or just go and see it in person. It's likely a display model, so don't expect any accessories. The hours might be super high as well. But you never know until you get there
