Sony has said after Horizon Forbidden West that there will be a fee for the ps4->ps5 upgrade. I'd like to believe they resolved the upgrade issues but didn't want to take any chances for $10 more

It's not my particular favorite type of combat mechanic, but I did enjoy the presentation of the first one.

I've been waiting for it to hit this price, and it's even at Best Buy, where I have gift cards redeemed at a bonus rate from credit card rewards.

I've also got a backlog of Hogwarts and Jedi Survivor to play before this, but I imagine it won't hit this price again for at least a few months.

Help me out. I'm out of touch with the PlayStation lineup and got in on the $350 PS5 deal. I've never played GOW but am pretty interested. Where is a good place to jump in on this series? Is there one I should play before this one?

Play the 2018 GOW from PS4 and then after that play Ragnarok as it's a direct sequel to that game. You should be able to find the first game from PS4 for dirt cheap, the PS4 game includes a free upgrade to the PS5 version so no need to buy a PS5 specific version, BTW this free PS4 to PS5 upgrade doesn't apply to Ragnarok, just the first game.

There is no "PS5 version" of God of War (2018). There is just the PS4 version, that includes a performance patch that can be downloaded if playing the game on a PS5.

So not sure how they would charge you for anything...
