So I bought this when it was $600 after shipping (with the phone mount, don't get the phone mount you can get a separate one for much cheaper). When I got it, the front brakes were busted and not repairable, I took it to a shop to put together and they said they didn't recommend it as it wasn't safe. Also, the battery did not have the UL logo. I think they have since gotten the UL certification. The repair shop also mentioned that they have received a lot of these Amazon ebikes that were damaged in transit, so you are taking a bit of a gamble of hoping it comes undamaged. If it's not intact, then it's a headache, as you will see it's not so easy to return.
When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.
Ok, i just got off the phone with customer support ,heavy bulk dept(866-423-5353), and i expressed my concerns about my 3 orders of e.bike and i was told that the bikes are in a Amazon fulfillment center in New York , that the tracking numbers given to us will be updated as soon as the final carrier ( the one whos gonna make the delivery , UPS or CEVA(for Rattan bikes) have the itens ready for deliver .

I looked at the original order and went back to the Amazon webpage and at the bottom it said to check if it was shipped by Heybike. If shipped by Amazon.com LLC on order not an authorized dealer. My order was supposed to arrive Dec 14. Shows label printed but no shipping from UPS. I think we were scammed but willing to ride it out until new shipping date of Dec 19. Good luck all.

This... is all the stuff we've been discussing for like a week
My rep said I can place another order (for $399 plus $120 shipping from 3rd party) and then call back after item gets delivered, and rep would refund the difference. I declined that option as difference was +$300 so afraid they'll backtrack on that offer and I'll get stuck with paying +$500 for this.

ask the rep to do it for you and add the credit at the time of order...might take a couple of tries between different reps

"You trusted us and we didn't deliver, so we need you to trust us once more"
My letter to RATTAN Ebikes -another ebike affected by a similar scenario: This "store" that you refer to is Amazon.com themselves. Why do you keep referring to Amazon.com as a different store or entity? You have a page and apparently primarily sell your bikes yourselves on Amazon.com. These so called "unauthorized" sales were sold and shipped by Amazon.com themselves.
Now in your defense, I will say that my purchase a week ago has not shipped, so I believe your accusations are correct.
However, what needs to be done here is for your company to investigate with Amazon.com of how this ad for your bike to be sold and shipped by Amazon.com even appeared!
On a further note, there are at least two other bike manufacturers that I am aware of that are claiming this same thing. These "unauthorized sales" may be some sort of underhanded publicity stunt to catapult your and other bikes much higher in the Amazon.com sales ranks, which can be used to bolster your own "authorized" sales. If this is the case, I do hope that your company and all of it's products are forever banned from the Amazon.com platform because this debacle has soured many customer's holidays with a false hope of obtaining an ebike for themselves or family and friends gifts!
From what I can tell from the various online locations that are discussing your bike and others affected by this same problem, is this issue is affecting hundreds of people.
