Deal History

So I bought this when it was $600 after shipping (with the phone mount, don't get the phone mount you can get a separate one for much cheaper). When I got it, the front brakes were busted and not repairable, I took it to a shop to put together and they said they didn't recommend it as it wasn't safe. Also, the battery did not have the UL logo. I think they have since gotten the UL certification. The repair shop also mentioned that they have received a lot of these Amazon ebikes that were damaged in transit, so you are taking a bit of a gamble of hoping it comes undamaged. If it's not intact, then it's a headache, as you will see it's not so easy to return.
When I returned it, it was a pain. They don't pay for the return shipping label, Amazon sends you one where you have to pay for it yourself. I drove to FedEx to have them tell me that, an also, that particular one cannot store batteries (only a few can, even the dedicated FedEx stores) so I couldn't drop it off there. It was a pain, but it gave me time to complain to HeyBike and they sent me a prepaid shipping label. FedEx picked it up. It was a headache, but at this price, I may buy it again and hope it works out this time.
I did ride it a bit before I returned it, it did get up to 20mph and up hills, about 10mph. It was pretty fun. I do like the removable battery aspect of it, can store it inside during winters.
This is a price that you cannot beat. I wanted the Lectric XP 3.0 but at $1000, it's more than what I'm willing to spend for an ebike that doesn't have much utility for me right now.
Ok, i just got off the phone with customer support ,heavy bulk dept(866-423-5353), and i expressed my concerns about my 3 orders of e.bike and i was told that the bikes are in a Amazon fulfillment center in New York , that the tracking numbers given to us will be updated as soon as the final carrier ( the one whos gonna make the delivery , UPS or CEVA(for Rattan bikes) have the itens ready for deliver .

what did you say ? I've chatted with 4 people trying all sorts of things non of them even budging little. All they would say is to fill out a incident report

Same.. pushed and pushed.. only got refund and $200.00. Where can I see the $200.00 they said promotional? Don't see it anywhere
I am on the phone with the fulfillment center to see if they can explain why the order has not been shipped to UPS for final delivery. one moment please

According to the station manager, the items are currently our of stuck and most the orders placed for those EBikes won't be possible to have them fulfilled, they are suggesting to process a refund and issue a promotional credit for the inconvenience.
Has anyone been successful in getting a refund with a "similar" bike? I have screen shot and the representative sent me an email they would give me a refund. Just wondering if anyone has been successful in doing this. Technically speaking the bike was originally $949.00.. any thoughts or feedback?
Quote from customer service, that sort of rubs me the wrong way:
"There is a known issue with shipping out these bikes and subsequently it has become a public knowledge situation. Our team are currently working on resolving the issue, however we do not have a definite time line for when the issue would be resolved."
"While we are aware of the communications being sent regarding the eBikes and our team are working on that aspect, we have received notice that no credits above $100 may be issued, and our system has been capped at that amount :-("
Editing to add, I was lied to. The rep then said:
"While other supervisors may not be following the recommendations as set out to them, I cannot in good conscious deviate from those recommendations as each individual case differs from another. "
When I called him on the system being "capped" vs "recommendations", he allowed:
"I understand how that might not seem to be the whole truth"

For those that used Amazon chat to have the order cancelled and refunded, in your Amazon order history, is it still showing as active but delivery is running late? Or is it showing up as cancelled?
"The bikes had been available in our warehouses but had been placed on back-order because of insufficient stock availability. The reason why the orders are placed on back-order is because our teams are urgently arranging stock to arrive at our warehouses. In the mean time while we are waiting for stock to arrive so that we can have these items shipped and sold by Amazon, the manufacturer has assisted us by listed the item as a third party seller item to maintain availability on the website, and are shipping them out directly from their facilities."
HeyBike had more stars to start, but it also had a higher order volume that aren't being delivered. One would think it would take more of a hit than it has so far. Ratings shenanigans, or are Heybike customers just more easy-going?
Thanks those that posted to talk to them via chat. We ordered two bikes originally. I was able to get them to refund my 2 bikes to a gift card plus give me the total difference to-reorder from the manufacturer. Total gift card was $1097. Woohoo!
It took me a day but I got the same outcome. I also ordered two bikes and got refunded the difference + the initial cost including shipping in the gift card and went back and ordered them right away thru heybike.I'm so happy I didn't take yesterday's offer of 100.00.
Congrats on getting them to honor the sale 👍😁

Called in, wouldn't give me a GC or credit. They said we're refunding you the full amount, go ahead and buy it again and when it arrives we will refund you the difference from the original price.
$560.29 - $246.73 = $313.56

Well called back and spoke to a supervisor. I was lied to. The agent didn't have the authority due to 3rd party vendor. They can only do a difference refund if sold by Amazon. New order cancelled and for your inconvenience $100 gift card. I didn't take it. Ended up with $250 GC!
