I haven't seen an impact wrench + drill combo. Are you thinking of the impact driver?

I already have the stubby Milwaukee 3/8, a ryobi 1/2 super torque, and a Ridgid subcompact 3/8 impact wrench….

Guessing this falls inbetween the stubby 3/8 and the Ryobi 'top of the line' 1/2 — given my slap stick arsenal - any particular use case this would fill?

He might be referring to the stubby, which can come with a drill combo. I haven't seen any similar combos for this mid torque.

If you've already got two stubby 3/8" and a 1/2" high torque? Not really.. unless you use them very frequently and have situations where the 1/2" high torque won't fit to get the job done.

I'm considering this because I've only got the 3/8" stubby (M12), which is great for fasteners around or under 100 ft-lbs, but will struggle above that range.

That said.. I don't want to have to buy a 1/2" impact socket set to make use of this Stick Out Tongue

I have the m12 3/8 stubby paired with this 1/2 mid torque. I love the stubby because it's so compact but it struggles with lug nuts and suspension bolts like you mentioned. This mid torque is a beast!

Same here. In addition, I run the M12 Fuel 3/8 ratchet along with the hex m12 stubby. Between those 4 you can pretty much do anything on most cars.

If you don't already own a high torque. I would get the new Milwaukee high torque. It's shorter than the old one. Making it the best size and weight to replace even the mid torque. I have stubby and high torque one but the old high torque too bulky. Might sell it and get the new one. I think it's $230 after hack couple weeks ago.

It's shorter than the old one, but it's still a chunkier tool than this mid torque.. and substantially heavier @ 5.9 lbs vs 3.5. Complete overkill unless your use cases include heavy equipment (e.g. farm / excavation equipment).

Also, even if that deal were replicable today... it was tool-only.
