Price lowered back down to Black Friday price.

YMMV on open box, I snagged one for $1615 for open box excellent. Basically brand new with all the plastic still on everything.

You can get this for $1749 elsewhere from a certain "foot" site, no tax, free shipping. I got this recently and thought I'd have buyers remorse since I'm usually a C series guy. Since I got a 65in G3 for my personal space, I was okay with getting this for the living room and I gotta say I'm blown away! The brightness is fine even with fully open patio sliding doors and the picture is fantastic out of the box and even better once tuned right.
OLED is better, yes

is there any value in these warranties? The worst thing that can go wrong is burn-in, which isn't covered.

I passed on my LG a few years back but bought a warranty on a no name cheapie for the guest room (Toshiba). Set w
as almost perfect for the price. Pic and sound were surprisingly much better than expected. Problem? It only lasted 16 months and the standard warranty was only one year. I paid I think $35 but got my $200 back. Peace of mind is the value, especially on expensive sets (even if the chances of using it are less on better brands). I bought a Speed Queen washer-dryer combo set that came with a five year in home warranty. Now that it's over, I am considering an extended warranty, again for peace of mind.

Anything goes wrong, it gets replaced... 5 yrs. Watching football on mine now, and even though not 4k broadcast, night and day over my old 75" uhd. I too was concerned about brightness when making this decision since the TV's in the middle of a great room which has two sliders and large windows surrounding it. I have to say I'm very happy with it and at night time the darkness in blacks and sharp brightness quality has met my expectations! I haven't even tuned it yet... TBD after game✌️

Almost as good as the C2 OLED for less

During our - Tom's Guide lab testing of the LG B3 OLED for our review, we discovered that — outside of a small difference in light output — the LG B3 OLED and last year's LG C2 OLED are nearly identical. Here's the lab data to prove it.

This one or Sony x90L for Blu-ray movies and streaming? I saw both at Costco and couldn't see much difference other than Sony colors being more natural

Depends on your room. I'd go with the LG unless your room is very, very bright. The Sony does looks very good but has limited viewing angles so if you have a wide seating arrangement then it's not an optimal choice either.

Just a heads up the Costco warranty does not cover accidental damage either. Ask me how I know....

I found this LG B3 77 inch display piece for $1500 with 5year warranty included at my local Costco. Can anyone comment whether it is a good deal. My TV need is not super urgent, I'm looking for a new TV for my new house which I will be getting in couple of months. But if the deal looks good, will buy it and store.
