The display on this is 250-nits 45% NTSC and I think this also has a non-backlit keyboard. However, it does have thunderbolt 4. The cons are more or less acceptable at the given price, but I'd still choose the OLED one.

both are expired, but the Zenbook 14x seems to go on sale frequently.

- Very basic non-touch screen
- Typically low build quality as expected from an Acer commodity platform
However, for the price (as is typical for Acer) you're getting a LOT otherwise for the money.- CPU:
- RAM:
- Storage:
This could make this a powerhouse value for the right buyer. Add to that, Acer's support isn't nonexistent. Typically these kind of buys were what you grab at the local Micro Center, so nice to have such an option easily available nationwide via Costco. Of course, if you're looking for a laptop expected to live a long life beyond the warranty, there might be better choices than a commodity Acer. This isn't really the kind of laptop you brag about unless you can leverage the expandability, care about the performance you're getting, can accept the limitations of the packaging, and have a strong focus on value for the price. The beefy H-series CPU won't disappoint (though surely the Acer laptop will limit its top-end performance; cooling in such an inexpensive laptop shouldn't be expected to perform miracles).
If I'm reading documentation for the Acer 515-57 series correctly, this platform has upgradeable RAM using two (2) SO-DIMM slots. Upgradeable RAM is becoming increasingly rare at budget price points.
Again, assuming I'm reading the documentation correctly this has two (2) M.2 slots for storage: one supporting up to the PCIe 4.0 standard and one supporting up to the PCIe 3.0 standard.
Good luck!
Jon
