Guys, you can load epic games into steam.........
You know what would be awesome? If Epic/Steam/MS made a Movies Anywhere version of game licenses. I would spend so much money on Epic if they would populate in Steam.

Might have to grab that Cyberpunk bundle though… and MK1.
Wow, I had regrets I didn't grab Alan Wake 2 from the sale a couple weeks ago, and now it's already dropped another $7 so instant buy. The other prices are great too, Epic is consistently 20%+ cheaper than Steam sales.

I played it on Steam a fair bit after launch so there were a number of updates and it was pretty smooth. I don't think I had a single crash and performance was good (6700XT). Absolutely loved the game and can't wait for Part 2 on PC.

Boy do I have some disappointing news. You'd have more fun replaying 1.

I think it'll be fine. I've seen some of the criticisms of the second game and they don't seem very relevant.

And this is precisely why steam will never agree to such an arrangement. If I remember correctly GOG has a similar feature where you can populate it with steam games you own as well as epic and other stores.

I'm just mad that Alan Wake 2 was an Epic exclusive. I would have paid full price for it on Steam day 1, but passed because of the Epic exclusivity. Still looking to buy it on Steam. Its my GOTY.

Epic funded the game. This is probably one that won't come to steam for very long if ever. Imma bite the bullet and it's gonna be my first purchase on epic

That is such a giant bummer. I hope Remedy at least got a fat paycheck for it, but the Epic exclusivity and lack of a physical release on consoles is killing sales of one of the best gaming experiences this year. I need to know where this story goes.

Uh no it's not. I've had a steamdeck since launch. Aint no way spiderman looks the same on steam deck as it does on ps4 and ESPECIALLY not ps4 pro.

Many people like to overestimate the power of the steam deck. It really does not live up to expectations if you're targeting AAA games.
I said between PS4 and PS4 Pro. Closer to PS4. PS4 is console hardware from 2013 so this is not surprising. PS4 GPU has slightly more GPU compute units, but Steam Deck's RDNA2 architecture is more performant, add to that better CPU and more/faster RAM. Maybe PS4 is still better in some ways, maybe specific games are still better optimized for PS4, but saying Steam Deck is PS3-level hardware is just silly.

I've played Spiderman Remastered on Steam Deck and was impressed with performance even docked at 1080p on my plasma TV. I don't have a PS4 to compare to (have a PS5, and a PS3 before that). God of War (2018) is a good example, and videos of YouTube show pretty similar performance.

You mentioned Cyberpunk 2077. What do you think it runs better on? A PS4 or a Steam Deck?

This is good shit here. Fight for market share with better prices and deals, not exclusivity.

Cyberpunk will run like awful trash on both. I would legitimately wait to play the game on better hardware. You are cheating yourself out of a much better experience with either option.

These are the kind of prices that used to make the steam sales so fun to watch and be a part of. I might have to backtrack on what I said about AW2 and not buying an EGS seeing as this is a solid deal.

I have a ps4 and steamdeck and have played both gow and spiderman on both. Ps4 is by far a smoother experience. Please do not take these youtube videos as the truth. It's cherry picked to show specific non-demanding areas for views. I also have an xbox one and played the gears series as well. Gears 4 and 5 although works on steam deck is a far worse experience graphic wise especially if you use a modern TV. No offense but a 1080p plasma is hardly modern. I too have a 1080p plasma that I bought 13 years ago and we barely use it anymore. Hell I don't even think it's plugged in.

I picked ps3 because I can guarantee that the steamdeck can and will match that performance. Not so much the PS4.

Hogwarts legacy and Red Dead 2 is another great example of running poorly on the deck. It'll run but with low graphics on some extreme upscaling and 30fps. It runs much better on Ps4.

Fact of the matter is AAA games and steamdeck does not always get along and the experience on previous gen console will be a much better experience than on the deck.

I actually haven't bought many games on steam the last couple of years. I've bought more on third party sites for the steam codes. IDK WTF is going on but steam sales is just subpar. I can almost guarentee if steam sells it for x dollars, there's going to be a place selling it for less during the same time.

The next big steam event is in 8 days right after the EGS sale. I HIGHLY doubt steam will match anywhere close to these prices.
