This is like needing more space for a family vacation so you buy a minivan only to return it when you get back. You don't like them but apparently like them enough to use them for the purpose you bought them in the first place?

Abuse of return policies is why the good ones are slowly going away.

These are popping up on several houses in my neighborhood. If you can, try to see them in person before you commit to putting these on your house. It's a much different look than traditional Christmas lights. Personally, I don't like it, but if you love it, great! Even so, I would wait a year before I pulled the trigger. I'm curious how these things are going to look after 12 months of cold, heat, wind, and rain.

Except they're out of stock for pickup and shipping. So it doesn't matter if they're cheaper, if they aren't available.

That's the traditional RGB LED strips, where all LEDs can only be the same color. The Govee lights are RGBIC where every single LED is programmable and can be of different color than the other,

You can splice these, it's just not officially supported like the pro version. I recently completed an install of the 150 ft version on my house with many splices and extensions.
Can confirm that these can be spliced. I spliced in two separate places with no issues. Neighbors love them too. Even had a neighbor ask if they could pay me to install them on their house for them.

Does anybody like the look of these lights? They seem like mini flood lights more than christmas lights.
These do have a "scalloped" look to them. You can see if you look up YouTube reviews. It's a preference thing, but just be careful when you install them, because if they are not perfectly spaced apart, you'll definitely notice it.

They look great initially but I am afraid that eventually too many neighbors will have the same and will lose it's appeal - just like the projection mini laser light. At least those laser lights were cheaper and easy to pull out of ground.
We just had the thought of buying these after it warms up outside and being the house that has themed lights for EVERY holiday or celebration.

Our favorite team won? Let's fire up the colors!
Something happened in the world? Let's fire up the colors of the flag.
Holidays outside of Christmas? You know what I'm going to type....

Heavily obnoxious, but also will prevent the need to do decorations.

What do you mean by splice, what is the purpose, and benefits of splices these color lights? I bought it when it was $200 for 150 ft, but I haven't installed it yet

Just installed these on my house. The double sided tape is really hit it miss. Some lights adhered well. Others started falling off. I 3d printed mounts and have been installing them

I like the idea of the these lights but I went a different route to make Xmas lights easier. I do a lot of lights. Even won a radio contest a few years ago. Anyway, I screwed in spring loaded clips every 3' into the edge of my fascia. Now I just clip the lights in the clips and every 6' I pull them tight and secure with a wire tie. Yes, I still have to get on a ladder but the lights go up extremely fast and easy. Just an option for people out there that like the traditional lights but hate the time/effort of handling them. I also prefer the look of traditional x-mas lights.

Yes these are more mini flood lights as opposed to traditional lights that are basically points of light.

The eufy ones are on sale for $230 if you want dedicated soft white lights as well. I installed them a couple weeks ago and we like them a lot.

Just a heads up for anyone considering these. They're not the pro version that recently popped up a few days ago, so you can't spice these, tempted to get a set though thanks op.
You can splice these. I did two jumps / I have a two story.

My outdoor outlet is smack in the middle/center of my front house. Can this be split so the plug is in the middle with 50ft going left and 50ft going right?

Has anynoe found/tried installing these within a permanent channel/conduit? I much prefer the look of them within a conduit, something like this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...4itemAdapt - anyone happen to have something similar with the holes precut for this govee?
