I installed on a month ago and the firmware has some serious security issues. Also UPNP is broken which affects port forwarding for gaming & bittorrent. If you enable IPv6 (a less common but important feature) , your network will be exposed. And the installed services on the firmware have known vulnerabilities (CVE) which allow script-kiddies to take over the firmware.

I have the 6600E version.
Firmware is not as stable as Asus. But I do think they are very serious.
They do very frequent updates. I think I had at least one update every month minimum.

Dangit, I'd be all over this if it could do bridge mode. Oh well. Good deal nonetheless.

Will this be a significant upgrade from a ax3200 dualband?

This is exactly what I was afraid of with MSI. It's good that they claim they're working on a fix (though it seems like the process isn't very transparent / is going slowly), but what a ridiculous thing to get through testing in the first place.

Modern router firmwares have so many packages that it's basically like maintaining a small Linux distro, but most of these companies do *not* have the skills to do that maintenance / testing work.

I wonder how MSI's security practices are? It seems like ASUS is doing a decent job of releasing updates when vulnerabilities are discovered. I'm kinda skeptical about MSI in that regard.
Probably the same, let Trend Micro handle them

WTH is 5ghz+5ghz? When I see triband I immediately think 6ghz. This is some serious fishy advertising. The same goes with the wifi6, wfi6e that both closely resembling 6ghz. Really scummy nomenclatures here.

Mesh is double the range at half the speed. Network overhead is huge.
Hardwired APs are the way to go.

it has 2 5ghz bands, this sort of thing has been around for a while, so if you have multiple 4k devices ... it would help with router to client throughput/bandwidth
