I have a few snow Joe tools and one of the tools and one of the batteries crapped out. It was a tire inflator, less than a year old used maybe 3 times at most. I contacted the company and they told me that they we're out of stock, that I had to send the broken stuff back and they would give me a gift card for a unknown amount ๐Ÿคฆ. I keep asking how much and they refused to tell me the amount. So in my opinion THEY ARE SKETCHY / LOW QUALITY AND I WOULD NOT SPEND $600 ON THEIR JUNK.
Beware. Every single battery powered snowjoe product I've had has failed, and always after the warranty ends. This includes 2 blowers, 1 cordless chainsaw, 1 powered snow shovel, and 5 snowblowers. A few years ago there was a nice sale on all this stuff, and I bought a lot of them for my family to replace gas powered equipment. SnowJoe was no help because I did not buy their extended warranty. So if you are considering this blower, please factor in their extended warranty cost into the price
While I would say their warranty service is eager to fix the problem, they don't actually have parts or even your model in stock to help. (Read reviews and people will mention the same thing) My handle broke and they didn't have the part and said they would likely never have it. They offered to replace the entire blower which was nice but they also didn't have my model and I had to step down to a lower model. I wasn't very pleased about that. They shipped the new one to me on their dime and paid to ship the old one back which a lot of places don't do so that was nice.

Not that bad of a deal. At one point in time I had their 80v (40vx2) 2 stage at one point and it work quite well for the 200 I bought it for at their outlet. This comes with 4 batteries. Worth consideration if you are in the market for an electric snowblower. Their warranty service had been great though I did buy it from them directly.

I was mistaken and read the timestamp of the deal posted rather than the comments timestamp. This can be confusing and is an honest mistake. My apologies to OP.

I think OP should credit community member "Funkadunk8" for this post. I saw in the other deal for the non-self propelling a community member posted this deal. The fact that you went and posted it for commission to yourself is unethical and wrong.

Almost posted it when I saw it, but since it was related figured throwing it in the same thread was fine, missed opportunity for rep I guess

I purchased the Ego 24" 2 stage with 2x 7.5Ah batteries a few weeks ago at $1399 ($100 off). Wondering if anyone has experience with the unit I bought compared to this as we haven't had a snowstorm yet.

I'm in MN where we typically see a dozen 1-2' storms each season, and I'm transitioning from a gas 30". My driveway is about 8 cars, so my concern with any electric snowblower is battery capacity.

I have a 4ah ego battery already, which helps my concern. I'm also making the switch so I can blow snow later in the evening and/or early morning (noise with neighbors). This should help me stay ahead and recharge as needed. I know there will be a limit and can be mindful in planning.

To owners of this and/or the ego - your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I bought greenworks dual stage, self propelled 80v for 1700 from costco.. Now i am wondering if that was a mistake, this is way cheaper and seems like will do equivalent job. Someone please guide ๐Ÿ™ what is the difference ? Should we return and get this one ?

I'm not familiar with using battery powered snowblowers but I do use many Lithium-ion battery powered tools and gadgets. Just don't leave the batteries out in the cold with the snowblower or when charging, Lithium-ion batteries are notorious for losing charge, degradation and issues with performance in cold climates. ๐Ÿฅถ Charge the batteries inside a warm environment and keep it there until you're ready to use again. I do that for all my Lithium-ion batteries.

I don't see any outdoor power equipment less than 40V worth. Prefer 80V.

200% agree about shipping back on their dime. Had an issue with the initial one and for whatever reason, they wanted it shipped back on their dime. That thing was well over 100 pounds!!!! I live in NJ and their logistic center was there as well. I got mine for 200 bucks. Ended up flipping it for 300 because i wouldn't get another set of batteries for cheap.

I couldn't go electric because of the short lifespan, insane replacement cost, and overall lack of power. Most gas powered can go 20yr min and have all the power you need vs this 5yr gutless crap
